The rooms are located on upstairs to a bar and restaurant. The rooms, carpets, furniture, layout, amenities and bathroom are very very outdated - very 1970s communist era feel. What is really boils down to is the room is very cold during cold nights. The shower and sink has hot water though. I was a single person travelling and I was given a room with 3 beds in in - luckily so as I had to use all 3 duvets/blankets to keep myself warm at night (it was end of May/spring).||Now the good bits - the staff and the location. The breakfast in this place is fine and the staff are really friendly. The hotel is located just 3-4 mins walk from the Ostrava station. This hotel is 30-45 mins by public transport from the airport. There is a direct train departing from Mosnov, Ostrava-Airport and arriving at Ostrava hl.n. (Ostrava train station) but is infrequent. Alternatively, bus Line 910 333 (stop situated in front of arrival hall) will take you to the city centre and then you need to change to tram (for Ostrava...
Read moreThis place is relatively close to the city centre, next to the main train station (Ostrava hlavní nádraží). Hotel offers about 5 free parking spots for a guests in front of the hotel on the street. Reception is at the bar in the restaurant and you need to go there through the restaurant room for a smokers if you would like to check-in, so the first feelings about property are not so good. We got a room in the top floor, I guess it was 3rd without elevator. Room was big but cold, we had to turn on heating which was turned off before our arrival. In the bathroom was almost impossible to get in front of the mirror and sink due the very small size of the whole bathroom and very close shower. Beds are really uncomfortable and soooo loud even if you are only try to turn to the different side during the night. But breakfast was good. If you are looking for a relatively cheap hotel, so for one night is not that bad... PS: I believe that someone used place behind the window as a fridge (check...
Read moreThe room is nothing extraordinary but alright and clean (the shower was a bit strange, connected to the sink).||The breakfast is not well supplied so if you came late, you may end up just with some yogurts left.||One more thing worth mentioning is, that there is tram line right below the windows and with the all night trams (which are going only during the Colours Of Ostrava), it could be disturbing (make sure to drink enough on the festival so you sleep like a baby :-) ), but it's not a big issue.||If you are coming by train, it is very well located, just couple of minutes walk from the main train station.||But in general we were satisfied with the hotel...
