Now this is a difficult one. The hotel itself is "fine", good location, the rooms are ok, it serves its purpose.
BUT... The management of the hotel really needs to consider how they're running this business.
There was a company event during our stay at the hotel. This event somehow "took over" the restaurant, meaning that the hotel guests could no longer use it for the rest of the week. It's fine for a hotel to host a company event, but it's absolutely unacceptable to screw ALL the hotel guests because of that event. "Oh what's that, you want to eat dinner? Figure it out, good luck finding a restaurant that's not fully booked!"
Also, don't be fooled by the "marketing" photos, the "Wellness area" is extremely poor, the swimming pool has very cold water, and it is so ridiculously loud inside that room, that it is impossible to relax. PLEASE install some sound deadening panels, being in the swimming pool is like having someone shouting in your ears all the time.
In summary, I'd recommend somewhere else. The hotel itself is fine, but the overall experience was very poor, and for a similar amount of money you can do...
Read moreFirst experience for us in the Czech mountains and surprisingly there are plenty of thing to do in the area. The hotel is comfortable and well located next to the cable car which is by the way free if you stay for 4 nights or more. The restaurant is correct but the portions are rather small compared to the outside restaurants. The burger is however delicious ! Breakfast was ok but not mind blowing, no variety, always the same, and the milk was temperate which is awful if you wanna use it for the cereals. There are a few things that need improvement : no light in the swimming pool lockers, no light in the swimming pool area either which gives a dark atmosphere, minibar and AC didn't seem to be working. We had a family room which was very spacious but the sofabed is just really impossible to sleep on, it was hard as concrete. Hopefully we didn't need it. Not really important but only 15 channels out of the 40 were working on the TV. And for a family room I would suggest a bathtub instead of an...
Read moreHotel is easy to find upon arrival into Janske Lazne. You can park your car right in front of the hotel while you check in up to one hour. You then have to move it a few meters into a public parking area, that can easy be confused as the hotel parking.. which it is not. If you do not need to move your car, you can pay for parking upon exit as it is cheaper, otherwise bring the ticket into the hotel reception area and they will validate in-out privileges (still more expensive). I did not need to move my car. My room had a balcony, which was really nice to be able to open the door and let some fresh air in. The property is a short distance downhill to the Kolonada as well as up to the cable car. The rooms are smaller, quite modern with the glass bathroom wall and the sleeping area. The pool is also nice for a short swim. Breakfast is good, staff is attentive, and I...
