We where open minded upon arrival (which took some time due to this hotel having no signage out front) as we have stayed across Europe in some pretty average hotels. At first look from the lobby you could clearly see this place was run down not with age just lack of maintenance. The building in whole smells like a giant ashtray. We decided to walk the stairs to our room on the 7th and top floor due to the elevator looking like the more dangerous option of the two. While unlocking the door I realised it was damaged it had the marks of an attempted break in. Our room was spacious which was one plus and the bathroom was newly renovated by the looks with a large shower which is rare. But that's where it ended the beds or as I like the say benches where the worst I have slept on it was 2 singles on each side of the room one was made up of 2 seperate pieces (what looked like old couch cushions) with blood stains on one of the pillow cases. The towels we had been given must have been hand towels. At this point we seriously consider leaving as we where unsure whether we would survive the night. We stayed for 3 nights and slept for a near few hours each night due to the discomfort.all this aside the reception was 24 hours and very helpful.the wifi was fast. I recommend this hotel if you are a chain smoker and like dogs(due to pets allowed...
Read moreMy collegues had found this hotel as a good value for money option right next to the venue, where the congress we attended took place.|From the outside it's a standard building, but just as you enter, you start realizing something is not in exact order. The interior was a bit shabby and run down, one of the lifts and later even both of them weren't working.|But the best part was going upstairs to our room. We lived in the second floor, so we rather took the stairs - at the first floor there was a weird fellow, dressed like a builder, just standing by the window. On the second there were about three similar men, two of which were smoking in the hallway (which smelled terribly because of this).|The room was more or less clean, but I would definitely or chemically clean, or simply remove the disgusting carpet. Otherwise it was ok, except the chewing gum stuck behind the sink.|Stayed three nights, it was cheap, but never going...
Read moreThe building looks like a block of flats, curtains hanging of windows included. Both lifts out of order, our room was on the second floor, we took the stairs, and git an idea as to what to expect. Took us ten minutes to unlock the door as the lock kept swinging round, once opened we were greeted to the smell of smoke. A bed either side of the room, which turned out to be two benches with foam squares, which were stained, the carpet was manky and at closer inspection, we found toenail clippings, we asked to swap rooms, but were told they were fully booked and that there is no problem with our room. We left there and then and booked into a bed and breakfast in the centre...
