This won’t be brief, partly because i’m not a brief person, but mostly because there’s a lot to unpack. From the beginning of our stay, as a school group, we were mistreated by the staff in all possible ways. Upon arrival, we were instructed by the staff to go have dinner in the internal restaurant (despite our concerns, since the travel agency had told us the “affiliated restaurant” was going to be external). After a decent meal, the staff forced us to pay for the dinner. Even acknowledging their mistake, they were firm on their point, and they preferred to coerce a group of kids into paying for a (ridiculously expensive) meal, offering us a 3€ discount (basically a discount on a scam). But this was only the beginning. The staff also made it clear right away that if they ever were to hear any complaints (about noise or whatsoever), they would first call the police, then our teachers. A rude, intimidating, bully-like remark (or more of a threat) that was the start of an abusive attitude towards us (believe me, I’m not being dramatic at all). That’s because, during our stay, we were constantly, helplessly harassed and bullied by staff members, in a way I thought was devious and inhumane. One staff member in particular started roaming around the corridors, namely after 21:00, knocking at our doors, telling us we were being loud and threatening to call the police. Apparently, some other students from a totally different group had been running in the corridors, but he decided to take it upon us. We hadn’t been doing anything, we had just come back from a long day, had taken a shower and were resting. He did this multiple times, in multiple instances, to many of my peers, always with the same modus operandi. At one point, it started seeming like they were trying hard to find any possible excuse to complain about us, probably one to keep the security deposit we had given them (which seems more than likely, knowing about their “extra earning” tactics). It’s ridiculous to pay any amount, in this case a considerable one, of money on a school trip, and feel the constant need to hide and defend yourself from made up accusations. We were uncomfortable and scared by the thugs (that’s the best way to describe them) working in this hotel. Reading reviews from other users, I feel like either we entered the wrong building, or there are incredible double standards in place: as “kids”, we were considered troublemakers from the start, and thereby treated as lesser clients. Maybe (with chances I wouldn’t take), if you’re not part of our demographic,...

Read moreIts star classification is not what it seems, the staff are rude. We stayed here on two separate occasions. After our first stay, I would have given this hotel a 5 star. We booked it again the week after. The second time was quite frankly awful and we couldn't wait to leave.
During our second stay, our reservations stated that check-in was at 14:00. We came early to drop off our luggage and were told to come in a few hours, being told specifically around 1pm. We came back at 2:20pm, but were told that the room wasn't ready.
This posed a huge problem, as the woman at reception would not allow a check-in, advising us that their website states 3pm. We however showed our reservations that stated 2pm, but were brushed away as that wasn't on their website.
As a result, we sat in the lobby and awaited the room to be available at 3pm. Expecting someone to come and advise us, we sat patiently. We approached the front desk at 3:20pm however and the woman ran to the back to avoid us. Instead, we had a gentleman who was happy to give us a room immediately. This left a very sour taste with us. We also missed an important engagement we had booked based on the times that were confirmed to us a reception and the booking confirmation which could not be refunded to us as we had to sit in a lobby "waiting for a room to finish cleaning".
During any situations when speaking to front desk, we found two women to be rude to us. We had to avoid the front desk completely as we felt unwelcome.
In contrast, we stayed at 8 different hotels in Prague during our stay in the city, and every single one was able to accommodate us for some form of early check-in.
We have no desire to ever return here, and I would advise others to look elsewhere. There will not be a repeat booking here. A complaint was even filed with our booking partner for this. Our booking partner reached out to this hotel and asked for feedback, however the hotel never responded back to them. They advised us that there were multiple emails sent and no response was provided...
