As a co-owner of a 5-Star restaurant in the United States, I know what it takes to keep and maintain the rates, this hotel is by far a best kept secret, WHAT A WONDERFUL TIME! Everything about this place is amazing! The food! Outstanding! Flavors burst in your mouth, just can’t stop thinking about all the tiny details the owner does to make your experience the best experience ever! The drinks! Outstanding beer, just blew my mind away, the atmosphere! Mesmerizing at best, your taken away hundreds of years in the past as royalty once lived yet you can experience this every night, JUST AWSOME! And the service! The owner operated and family run business just shows how much love everyone has for this business, it’s not a job is their passion to serve the best customer experience from the second you start booking they are there to assist to the moment you walk in the door to be met by one or all the owners and welcomed as if you were a long family friend coming over for dinner or to sleep over, the second you walk in the door until days after you leave you can’t stop thinking how wonderful the owners are, they take so much pride and passion into their work to show you the love that they experience! If you are ever asking yourself, should we go, I ask you this, why wouldn’t you go? My first trip to the Czech Republic was blessed with meeting this wonderful family and an experience of a life time. We will be back and we will be telling everyone about...
Read moreA wonderful small and family driven restaurant with a very delicious and good cuisine with a lot of different choices, but they offer only some Czech traditional dishes.
FOOD DRINKS We startet with a homemade raspberry Limonade and a small bottle of water. The lemonade was perfect and very delicious, because it was made from real raspberry with some oranges and lemons. For the food we ordered the traditional fried cheese for 185 CZK and a veal schnitzel for 285 CZK. The fried cheese was good and for the side we got French fries and some marinaded salad. The Tatar sauce was good too and had a good contrast to the fried cheese. The veal schnitzel with potatoe salad and the marinaded salad was perfectly cooked. The crust was crispy and the the whole meat was very tender and a very good choice.
SERVICE the waitress was fast and very friendly. She spoke a good English language and I felt very welcome. After we ordered our food we got it very fast and she asked after some minutes if everything was okay.
RESTAURANT The restaurant has a inside and outside sitting area. Inside there a some chairs and benches. Unfortunately it is not so comfortable because there are only some limited pillows. The outside sitting are is covered and looks ver nice and cosy too.
LOCATION The restaurant is located in a residential area, which is outside of the Prague city center. Directly at the restaurant there are some (4 or 5) parking lots...
Read moreWe were staying next door and came because of the good reviews and looking forward to a generous feed. My husband had already decided he wanted the recommended pork knuckle. We were pretty much ignored when we entered and had to ask to see the menu. When I asked whether we shall keep the menu we got a short 'no' and the waiter at the bar pointed for us to head inside where we needed to find someone else to point us to a table. We chose the pork knuckle and the salmon. We were told that the pork knuckle was 'finished'. Early Monday evening with few guests there. No 'sorry' or explanation given. When my husband stated this was what we came for, this was just ignored. So he ordered the 'XXL Schnitzel'. It arrived as a small to normal size portion with very little chips. My salmon with lentil salad was nice enough but not filling (small portion). This is particularly disappointing as other dishes in the range of 300 koruna were big portions. I ordered dessert of pancakes as I was still hungry and this was a big disappointment. I wish I had taken photos. The serving was tiny, they were soggy and they had no flavour. A very disappointing evening after looking forward to good food as per...
