An excellent family run small pension, that truly feels like home. The lady owner is very sincere and gives you a map of Prague upon arrival and over a beer (or wine, or juice) will tell you what should not be missed in Prague. She will tell you which tram to take, where are some good restaurants, where is the nearest grocery store or where you can grab a piece of pizza on you way home. She really reminded me of my grandmother, especially in the morning preparing a breakfast and serving it in the garden, which by the way has a very nice view over Prague.|Location is also good. Metro is only 5-7minutes walk up the hill, or you can also take a tram or bus which is a little bit closer. Or you can take a nice walk along the river and within 30-40 min you can reach nice park called Stromovka. Since it is a quiet neighbourhood I would recommend this pension to people that are seeking rest after a busy day in Prague and to runners! Its location is perfect for a morning or evening run along the river to Stromovka which itself is a car-free running and leisure park. I would also recommend it to solo travelers as the pension as well as the surrounding area feels safe, even late night (11ish) returns from the center, taking metro were OK.|Room was spacious, with a small kitchen part, small fridge, tv and very nice and very clean bathroom. Pension is newly refurbished and everything looks new and clean.|Wifi has a poor signal so it kept disconnecting and most of the TV programs were in german, but I did find bbc news and czech news canals and that was all I needed. After all, I did not go to Prague to watch TV or spent time on computer. If you are on a business trip and really in need of constant internet than the second pension called Karnet (run by the same family- lady's son) might have better wifi. You can always check with owners, they are very opened to any questions and are ready to meet your need the best they can. |I am glad that I have found such genuine place to stay and I would definitely go back on my next...
Read moreOn arrival I was greeted by the manager who was very helpful explaining me on the map where to go, how to go (tram, metro) and what are the recommended (not so much touristy) sight seeing.||I purchased a 24 hr ticket valid for metro and tram (110 czk) which I found was the cheapest option for me to go around my stay. The metro station is a 5 to 7 minutes walk away, the metro 10 to 12 minutes walk. ||The public transport system is straight forward and easy to understand.||The unit I stayed in had two levels:|First level was entrance hall, toilet, kitchen and living room. All very spacious and everything was spot clean. The kitchen is fully equipped.||The second levels offers three bedrooms (1 double bed, 1 single bed, 2 single beds), a shower room and a bathroom bathtub and toilet.||All rooms are with high ceilings. There are two balconies with amazing views over Prague. One balcony is accessible through the living room, and the other one via the master bedroom.||Breakfast will be provided fresh and a garage parking is available on request with a little surcharge per day (€ 7/day). There is plenty of free street parking available and honestly I think it depends on your car if you require car parking for security purposes or not. The manager will explain.||There is a kind of a mini bar system where you can take for little money wine, champagne, water, juice, beer or coke and pay at the end of your stay.||A TV with hundreds of channels is available in the living room as well as free wifi. Please note wifi signal only works in the first level of the unit seamless.||I can highly recommend this place and will...
Read moreI stayed for 4 nights with my wife in this pension and liked it very much. The owner is very caring, and is willing to help you with the trips you want to make. The first night we visited a nic Chech restaurant Hofmana, which we would never have found without her advise.||Each morning we got a breakfast at the lawn on the terrace. For such a little pension I found the assortment very good and fresh. And in the evening the terrace was perfect as well to rest from the turmoil of the city. Every night at 10 a hedgehog came walking along touring through the gardens. ||Nothing to complain? No, or it should be that the breakfast was decorated with salami while we told we...
