The staff was happy to help with whatever we needed, but they don't speak English almost at all. The breakfast was nice but keep in mind that who ever is working at a reception is the main cook as well, so the quality varies a lot. They tend to be rather slow with bringing out whatever is missing so your breakfast might take a while. The rooms are clean! And you can get fresh towels every day - if you need them of course. We haven't tried the pool but it looked nice. The location is good just to get somewhere, there's almost nothing in the vicinity. If you need some local restaurants or shops you'll have to get to Zenklova street and that's not necessarily a short walk. They say that there's internet in every room - that is correct but the signal is very bad and the internet very slow. Unless you're the only person using it you won't be able to do anything with it. The rooms have old furniture which is worn - I personally don't care about that but the mattress should have been better, now my back hurts... In the offer they say that they offer transfer to and from the airport - this is not true, they just call a taxi and that's it... Their restaurant is decent but the menu is not what it seems to be. They just have 3 or 4 items that they can prepare for you - having said that keep in mind that the portions are somewhat bigger so if you really need to eat there you'll get a decent size meal. I've been to 3 star hotels and this one is not worth the money, they should be at least...
Read moreDisgustingly dirty. Ants all over in the bathroom, in the bed, on cupboards and night stands. We asked the staff nicely if they would clean it or give us another room. Took a long time for them to understand. Finally they told us they would let us have anti insect spray. For me, it's not cool to let the guest have to clean the room themselfs. Second of all, don't think it's clever to stay inside a room that has just sprayed with tons of something like that.||So we wanted a refund, didn't get it, even after speaking to them for around 1 and a 1/2 hour. They just refused to.||||The breakfast area is like a dirty bar. The hot tub is behind the breakfast area, so everyone can see you if they are sitting there. Also they have strict rules about when it's open.||The garden is not cared for.||It's far away from everything, groceries, restaurants and even bus stops.||It takes forever to get to the old part of Prag.||||We thought we would safe our money with this hotel. But it was soooo not worth those dollars. I'd rather go to a nicer looking neighbourhood and deffinatly not...
Read moreThe price, for the size of the room, was right (55 euros a night). We had requested twin beds at the time of booking (2.5 months earlier) via hotels dot com. I'm not sure why this didn't happen, but I recommend you follow up directly with the hotel for such requests early on. They answer emails promptly. The sofa converted to a bed and we took the topper off of one of the double beds to make two beds. The room was spacious. The bathroom was a good size with hot water. Breakfast was ok, and was included in the price. A trip into town was an easy bus and subway ride away. About 30 minutes. A taxi to the airport was 470 (there is no shuttle). Uber would have been cheaper (under 400). The reception closes at 10pm so this would be problematic for late check ins. Reception opens at 7am or 8am. The reception staff spoke English and were friendly and helpful. Dog friendly, with a grassy park area next door! You get a kettle in the room. There are Asian, Vietnamese and Indian restaurants within a 10 min. walk, along with...
