Seven Hostel — Hotel in Prague

The host is horrible and mean and deceiving person. And the hostel staffs are racist. We found out later that European guest were receving fresh towels everyday or whenever they ask. I, as Asian from South Korea, asked 3times and refused, and was told that I am impolite person , so they will not provide new towel. I was with my parents who are in their 70.. the cleaning staff screamed to my mom when she asks new towel..on 4th day of our stay... We were forced to use the same towel for 5days.. We paid everything and why this hostel are so shamefully treat their guest? Also, the description of hotels are deceiving, like available breakfast or TV lounge.etc.. it's located in wild place with terrible atmosphere.. Also there is no free breakfast nor available breakfast but the owner wrote it as if it were being served to everyone who staying. What you get for free here is a cold shower in the dark as the light goes out every 5minute and water cut every 2 minute.. He replied my review " You are a big liar, We did everything you ordered." This sentence is to mislead other people to believe that the hostel granted everything and the customer is a strange person. The truth is, not one single thing, which his staff promised to me , which were cleaning a room, change towels never done. We stay 5days, no towel change , no emptying trashbin nor cleaning of the room. When I asked to change the towel, cleaning lady told me she will clean the room and change towel and sheet as well. When I returned, room was not cleaned and towels were not change. It is triple room and only my family use. When I emailed this , the host said "you ordered Hostel, not five star hotel. We do not clean everyday. Only change.towel." Himself said " We only change towel." That is what I asked and never done and he said he will not change any of towel. Ha.. Also Martin mentioned that he is going Korea next month and he expect to be treated well when someone choose the cheapest accommodation as well in Korea. He is absurd. This place is noisy at night. Stinky at bathroom and sink. No door lock on shower room so I saw a husband watching for her at outside and I did the same when my mom was having shower. Do not waste a time to look for this hostel nor hopefully do not spend a cent in this irresponsible, never a staff showing up hostel. Toilets were awful: missing toilet seat, flush button missing, bathroom stall locks barely working, one of the stalls was closed. To be fair even the main door to the toilet looked gross. A simple pack of paper towel would also be a lot better than the clunky towel dispenser.

Showers are really bad: No actual curtains - something that looks like tarpaulin was used as one, automatic light in the showers goes off every 2-3 minutes or so, so you need to do the good ol' hand waving thing outside the actual shower.

Kitchen is the best room in the whole hostel - microwave, cold/hot water dispenser, dishwasher, clean sink, cooktop. There's also a small room nearby with a table, a few chairs and a sofa. Both of these rooms were a lot more cleaner than the others.

The room I stayed in was acceptable. Both bedside tables were somewhat damaged (there were dents in them). One of the two lamps wasn't working. Venetian blinds on windows which are also equipped with mosquito nets. There was also a small fan that you could plug in one of the four sockets. The small refrigerator was OK. Beds were clean and actually comfortable. There was a small mirror on the wall. It was really, really hot inside even at night. There's obviously no AC which is expected with this price, but the overall airflow is just bad inside. There's a free WiFi which is quite slow and very often it isn't working.

There's a smoking area just outside the entrance, so if you don't smoke and your room is one of the ones near the entrance you are going to feel the cigarettes smoke throughout the day/night (and hear the corresponding conversation).

No actual service to be fair, you get the key by using self check-in machine. There are people who clean the shared rooms but that's it, there's no actual reception. However I don't blame the people employed there for that, obviously.

Location is OK: Bus stop is several minutes away and the tram stop is 10-15 minutes away. There are some shops, cafes and such nearby.

Overall it wasn't an enjoyable stay. Especially if you plan to stay there for longer than 2-4 days. If I was there alone I'm not sure if I would've even felt safe here not having any sort of reception at night. If some the issues I mentioned before (mainly bathroom, showers, reception) were fixed, the experience would be...

I almost got tears on the day of check out, as some other guest had pity on me, they tried to help us.. this hostel owner and the staffs are raist and very cruel. If you are not European, never dream of coming here. Do not waste a time to look for this hostel nor hopefully do not spend a cent in this irresponsible hostel.
