I have stayed here a couple of times. I've stayed in the main hotel and in one of the annexes across the road. In the latter I was surprised to find a little kitchenette with a Dolce Gusto coffee machine that I used, and basic cooking equipment that I didn't. The bathroom had a whirlpool bath and sauna, as well as a decent sized shower. The room and corridor were clean and tidy, albeit a little tired, but very quiet and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a good buffet with cooked and continental options. Super location for the centre of town right on a pedestrianised street that helps with the quietness. Read moreWe stayed at the Palads Hotel in Viborg a few years ago. We got the top floor large suite with somewhat low ceilings, and a round window. It slept 4 easily and at a bargain rate. The elevator was small but quite functional, and the staff was completely friendly. I remember the breakfast was excellent, with that great Danish cheese with the pungent flavor, ham, and a wide variety of everything. It was certainly as good as any breakfast buffet in Paris, although different, of course. I just loved their rich and creamy liver pate. And funny to see, how not much (close to nothing) had changed for those 10 years. ||Palads is (still) an "old school" classic Danish provincial hotel in decor, reception, the breakfast buffet etc. In some ways charming in other ways a bit astonishing. ||Anyway: I got a large two room suite including private terrace for a price of a small room at other hotels, so basically it is pretty good...
