I arrived at the bus terminal from Cuenca and have a flight to Galapagos for the next day, so I booked online for one night. It was around 4pm when I arrived, even if I had a copy of map but I couldn't find the location as there's no address written on the corner wall. I tried to ask the locals and found out "La Salle" actually got another name. I was on the right street but I still couldn't find the hostel. Finally after a few rounds walking on the same street with my heavy backpacks, a local point out the house with the flags was the hostel. Apparently I did walk pass the hostel, as there was NO SIGNBOARD at all and it didn't look like a hostel (more like an ordinary house).||||I checked in the dormitory. It's on the 3rd floor with a narrow stairs leading all the way up. It's a 6 bed room with wifi. But it's very hot at night even they have a floor fan that only blow to one direction. ||||The public transport metrovia to the city is in front of the airport and it takes around 10 minutes to reach. Not much restaurants choices around and it costs extremely expensive at $4.50 for a meal. If not for the location near to the airport, this won't be first...

Honestly this was by far our best experience of a hostel for an overnight stay to catch a connecting flight the next morning. We were greeted by Fermin at the airport. He drove us back to the hostel and even stopped in way to get us water. He helped us with bags and even did our laundry when we arrived at 11pm (we were in desperate need and he was so happy to help). Air con in the room, soap and towels provided, comfortable bed and a restful nights sleep before our next flight. Great value for money. Felt very safe and welcome here. They do not tell you this when booking but when they are full at the location listed they send you to another one of their locations which can be 10 min drive apart. I booked it the morning of my reservation and they send me a message when I was already heading to the location listed on Bookin.com. They told me to head to another location, felt like a scam since the other hotel did not have the same name. This ruined my plans because I chose this hotel based on the original address. I would not book this hotel if the location is important to you. This is a cash only hotel and when I paid they did not have change for me right away, again frustrating because if you are a cash only hotel they should always...
