I went to the Oro Verde Manta location, I had expected to stay at this hotel since it was very well appraised and one of the many good hotels in the Manta area. Since it was fully booked and we (my family) already stayed somewhere else because of that, we decided to check out the hotel and what it had to offer for amenities by going to the Pata Salada restaurant. Many things happened in this trip though I wish were good but had left a very bad impression on us when looking at Oro Verde from now on. First, the food was not worth what was paid for. Itâs expected to have better quality food (and service, but I will get to that) but what we had received was with what tasted as very cheap ingredients. Since it was just My wife, daughter, and I in this trip, we paid a total of nearly 90 dollars, which normally I would say was worth it for a hotel like oro verde but this was definitely not the case. We were wearing casual clothing and werenât trying to stand out, but I did notice that before we left there were people who werenât confronted with any inconveniences. I paid the bill and headed out when a waiter with their last name being Reyes had gone out to follow us as well. They asked in a very confrontational tone and very distinctive one at that compared to how this employee treated the other guests, âDid you pay the bill?â This was of all directed to my wife, she was the only person of color in this hotel restaurant which is something I did not realize would have turned into a racial micro aggression towards my wife. I spoke with this employee on how it was wrong that they did that because we wouldnât have left the restaurant without having paid. Itâs understandable that because we are not guests of the hotel there might be a precaution but either way we were served as customers and no different treatment should be applied to that. This waiter told me that it was part of his job, but I strongly believe that his job was not being a part of security. This person did not apologize when he realized he was wrong for thinking that we had just stolen from the restaurant. I talked to the manager of operations in the Manta location, and I told them that they needed to retrain their staff to treat guest with more respect, because without them the hotel just does not exist. Being a long time guest in multiple occasion at the Oro Verde in Guayaquil, as well as staying in long time visits for a week or even a month, this is not how I had expected this hotel to treat my family. They offered us free cocktails, but we did not have any intentions from the start to receive anything free from this hotel without paying for the hospitality. If youâre looking to receive respect from staff, wearing a suit and tie even in a hot day at the MurciĂ©lago beach is your best...
Read moreGreat amenities, decor, comfort, etc. the room was very spacious. Did not give it 5 stars because the living room did not have a tv but the furniture clearly had the nuts and bolts set up to hang a tv. The living room window had a side that faced a street but did not have curtains. When we woke up in the morning and walked out of the room, the workers drinking coffee were given an unexpected peep show. There was no coffee/hot water machine in the suite and that was unexpected, especially since the suite has a kitchen. Cupboards did not have any mugs and we had to request glasses. It was small stuff but when the place has a 5 star rating it usually means that the little things are not overlooked. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, especially their yuca bread. Make sure to check out the jacuzzi and dry and steam sauna. Front desk helped to call a cab, they speak English if needed. Worth the money if you need to stay in Manta. The beach is terrible. Murcielago is suppose to be a top beach but when we were there at the end of April 2022 it was covered in dark spots and the water was slick from oil. We spent our time...

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Oro Manta! From the moment we arrived, the entire staff made us feel so welcome. Every single team member greeted us warmly and always had a smile, creating a truly friendly and inviting atmosphere.
The staff consistently went above and beyond to make sure our time there was special. A highlight was being greeted by the chef, who personally invited us to join a family activity whenever we wantedâit was such a thoughtful and personal touch!
Even after we had checked out, the team continued to go the extra mile. My daughter had lost her beloved snorkeling gear, and they not only found it but also arranged to deliver it back to us. Moments like these show their genuine care and dedication to guests.
We canât recommend Hotel Oro Manta enough for their warmth, friendliness, and exceptional service. They truly make you feel like part of...
