Hotel Coraza — Hotel in Otavalo

We initially checked in at a different hotel a few blocks away, but it was super sketchy and we immediately changed to Coraza.

The staff was helpful and put up with our limited Spanish, then even showed us three different rooms we could choose from, if we elected to stay there. The room we chose was comfortable and had a great view of the busy street below, though it was pretty noisy early the next morning thanks to vendors setting up for the Saturday market at 5am.

We stayed here two nights. The hotel is centrally located, close to the poncho market and on market day the market stalls are also in front of the hotel. Lots of restaurants around. Hotel staff was friendly. The room I had was on a corner, facing the street and the volcano. The room was clean but the downside was the street noise. The curtains were also very light and let through the street lights and if you are a person who likes to sleep in the dark this can be a problem. Breakfast was ok but service...

Yo había llamado a reservar con antelación mis habitaciones y número de camas.

En primera que cuando contestaron estaban desubicados, ni sabian mi nombre al que se había dejado en la reserva y cuando les llamé a preguntar para asegurar que mis habitaciones si estaban reservadas me dijeron "quién es usted? Aaa, para cuántas personas necesitaba?" Y cuando les respondi solo me dijeron "ehhh sí sí todavía hay habitaciones venga nomás"

Luego me ofrecieron la ubicación pero como yo me encontraba todavía lejos les dije que les llamaban una hora para que si me pierdo me la manden porque si la tenía igual.

Y yo llego con mi familia y nos dijeron que el hotel estaba lleno que nunca confirmamos la reservación y que ya no hay habitaciones y punto.

Nos habían dicho "Como no hicimos un abono principal pues nos quitaron las habitaciones" cuando 1 hora antes nos dijeron que sí tenían el espacio para nosotros y aparte en la página web dice que no se debe hacer un abono previo.

La estrategia de este hotel es que tú no abones el valor normal de la habitación para qué el día de la fiesta la gente que no busco hotel cobrarles más valor con el fin de robarles, este hotel no te garantiza ninguna habitación y no sé para qué tienen Call service si terminan...
