I stayed at Cann's House for four nights in December (after three nights on Santa Cruz) and can confirm all positive reviews. This is a very cute guesthouse (in December, all the Christmas decorations set up by Nelly were so amazing) in a very good location on a beautiful island. I had the smallest room (the Deluxe single room), which was still large enough for me, my suitcase, the bed and even a table with chair. Small bathroom but very well equipped and with very fluffy towels. The room and the whole house were extremely clean and well kept. The breakfast was simply wonderful and the best I had in a long time. Fresh fruits with joghurt and granola, bread and egg dishes, fresh juice, great coffee - and one morning I even got an empanada con queso (I love these). Nelly was a great host, very caring, she showed me around the house and it is obvious how enthusiastic she is about welcoming guests. One night, when I had a bad sunburn on a little part of my body (remember to put sunblocker everywhere on your skin!), she even cut of a little branch from one of her aloe plants and gave it to me to soothe my skin. How lovely! The other two ladies who work there and whom I had the pleasure to meet (Lucia and a lady whose name I forgot, very sorry about that!) were so wonderful, too. Overall, a great place to stay and I would definitely go back next time I am on...
Read moreI’ve been living in the Galapagos for 3 months, I’m a very experienced diver and traveler, and this was the worst experience of my life. I booked this place because of all the good reviews, but I’m sorry, Nelly was an awful hostess to me. She offered to book me a tour, charged me more than average and when I asked for a discount, she contacted the dive shop and cancelled the whole thing without my permission. Do not book ANY tours with her. She doesn’t know what she’s doing!
I would give this place zero stars if I could. The hostess (Nelly) ruined my trip to San Cristobal by offering to book a dive and then canceling it without my authorization for no reason. She then lied to me and to the scuba shop and I almost missed my dive because of her. If it wasn’t for my travel agent in Santa Cruz, I’d have missed my dive. I spent the whole day crying because I only had one day booked in San Cristobal to go to that specific dive (kicker rock) and she almost cost me over $700 in damages by canceling it. She was rude, lied about several things and ruined my vacation. Her son, Christian, is no better. They’re money-hungry and have no idea of what they’re doing.
Do not book any tours with her. She’s crazy and suuuuper rude. I’ve never experienced anything like...
Read moreWelcome home! That was how we felt when arrived and stayed at Cann’s. Nelle, the owner was kind enough to pick us up at the ferry terminal and immediately check us in even though it was only 9am. She provided us with information for places we can go during our 3 days stay. She recommended and made the reservations for our 360 Island Tour and the Highlands Tour, which were both wonderful experiences. Location is in a quiet neighborhood and is about 5 mins to Playa Mann and also Malecón center area and ferry terminal. The property is gated, feels secluded and private. Rooms are modern and spotless. And the excellent air conditioning in the room really helps in having a good night rest after a long day of excursion. The daily breakfast is cooked by her sister Marbella and she always ask for our preferences and choices the day before. Home cooked and simply yummy. Ability to speak Spanish will help enhance communications with both ladies but with translation tools, non Spanish speakers will still be able to enjoy staying at Cann’s. It is like staying with a family or your best friend in a very nice mansion in...
