My stay in Quito was changed last minute to this hotel due to work, but it was a delightful surprise. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by multiple displays of beautiful, large roses throughout the lobby. The staff were very hospitable, and informed us of everything the hotel had to offer. If you’re interested in purchasing flowers to take home, they can arrange for a local shop to have them packaged for you safely for transport, and the prices are extremely affordable! Our flight coming in was delayed, so I quickly dropped my things off to my room and headed back down to the bar for a last minute bite to eat before they closed. Freddie, the bar tender, is an absolute doll! He was knowledgeable about everything on the menu, offered his recommendations, and even stayed a little later because I came in so late (thank you Freddie!!!) He recommended the arepas with beef, and it was absolutely delicious! Back to the rooms : this is where the high tech comes into play. The hall displays were digital, allowing each guest to show “do not disturb” or “service please” signs to be illuminated below their room numbers for staff to see. Inside is your typical hotel room, however the bathroom was my favorite! I had a walk in shower, with two (2) rainfall shower heads (amazing!!!) and even the toiletries for our use smelled amazing! The room is equipped with a mini fridge and coffee maker for your use as well. The gym has everything you would need to workout in any hotel, and the spa has a sauna that you can also use (without the need of having to purchase a spa service). I was told the pool was heated, but I didn’t use it, so not 100% sure. I only gave the location 4 stars because it’s by the airport, and not very walkable to much. The front desk staff, however, were able to give recommendations on places to do and go, and even offered to call the taxis for us (but we used Uber to get around). There is a mall not too far, the Scala Shopping Center, that was...
Read moreI booked my stay at the EB as it was my last night of a trip in Ecuador. The decision was between the EB or The Wyndham. And what a great decision it was. The EB Hotel surpassed my expectations in every way. I was looking for a nice place to rest, relax and unwind before heading back home to the USA, and it was one of the best decisions I made. From here on I'll look to stay there when the occasion arises. The demeanor of everyone I met there, who works at The EB, was nothing short of perfect. They represent The EB impeccably. And so was my room. Whoever designed it really gave it a lot of thought. I loved the strip lights on the floor. The beds were very comfortable. I loved the shower design. Everything was perfect. At the restaurant the food was wonderful and so was the staff. That stay was a reunion with a dear member of my family with whom I was supposed to meet at the EB in Miami a few years ago, but unfortunately due to the pandemic, it had to be postponed. We finally got a chance to make up for that missed gathering at this EB in Quito, and it was the perfect setting. I'll be looking forward to returning to this beautiful space, with spectacular views of the mountains, and elegant grounds the next time I'm there. And from here on I'll look for EB hotels wherever I travel next. I truly loved my stay there and look to make it the first of many. My gratitude to all the staff who made my stay a perfect one. Needless to say, I highly recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone looking to treat themselves to a...
Read moreThis incredible hotel has nothing to envy to any other one : well-equipped gym, pool, bar/restaurant... The service was beyond any of our expectations, the staff being kind, welcoming, smiling : we felt at home in a foreign country! We used the hotel as our base to go to the Galapagos Islands, the rainforest and the cloudforest and each time we came back, the staff remembered not only us but also what we had previously done and asked about our experience. I must say the rooms we stayed in are very comfortable, with anything you need and even motion-activated lights under the furniture which is cool. The restaurant is great too, the locro de papa is really tasteful and the breakfasts are perfect (although some have written in their review the menu is not composed of many choices, the selection includes meals for every tastes : pastas, burgers, clubs, salads, Ecuadorian, etc.) The only thing is that there is not much to do around but again, the hotel was our base and so being 7-8 minutes away from the airport was perfect for us! The free-shuttle service even more! The problem relies more in the fact that the airport is far from downtown Quito than the hotel being in the wrong spot. You cannot have it all! Thank you so much again for our wonderful...
