I was extremely happy to discover this beautiful boutique like hotel. It was such a pleasant experience. The atmosphere makes you feel the royal presence. The dining room is just a classy spot with very authentic flavor. The walk out side the building in the morning makes you feel special. For me, it was such a joy and I have been in several hotels like this in different great cities, but this place added a sophisticated touch to Alexandria, it's like the icing on the cake for my visit. The staff are made of bunch of lovely young people. They act like a family. I was so impressed with how they are as professionals and also good people. The manager is a very young lady that carries herself very well with an outstanding presence. The young men and ladies serve in the dining room and at the front desk are well trained to make you feel home with great service and give you the space to feel as if you are living in your private home. Set in a beautiful garden, Helnan palace hotel takes you back in time to the yesteryears when life was buoyed with old aristocratic charms. We had two of the best rooms on the top floor overlooking the well kept garden. Rooms were clean, spacious, and furnished with simple classic decors. The beds had firm mattresses which enabled good sleep at night. We woke before breakfast time but the staff managed to prepare food and opened the breakfast restaurant for us, so thank for that. It was a quiet and relax stay, and the hotel oozed with old hospitality and charms. An incident which I however have to mention is my sister had left her scarf there after checking out. After a lengthy inquiry with the hotel, a postal service for a return of the scarf to Cairo (where we would be stopping before flying home) had been arranged, which my sister took care of the cost. But the scarf was somehow never delivered. The postal trace informed us that the scarf never got sent. We expected more with the hotel but incidentally went home...
