Maghrabi's Guesthouse / Maghrabi's Camp — Hotel in Aswan

It is a nice house located in West Aswan which is a very quiet village of true Nubian nature. It is both a B&B and a camp. The room is OK and ventilation was not good. The best thing is that the house is directly on the Nile. Watching the sun-rise is amazing. The breakfast with Nile view and this serene environment is just out of this world. The breakfast itself is reasonable. One can enjoy a walk directly on the Nile for about 1 KM to the boat station taking you to the East coast. In one night a group of bikers (like 50 or so) who are traveling across Africa from Cairo to Cape Town camped in the premises. Was a nice experience to watch these great athletes.

The guys running the hotel are very nice and helpful and received us and took us back to the boat.

This is the best place to stay in Aswan! We were here for 2 nights (2 adults and 3 children) and loved the guesthouse. It’s quite a magical place along the banks of the Nile facing the city in Aswan. Firstly, the people who work there are great. Very pleasant and helpful, from preparing delicious dinners to organizing a ride up the Nile. These people do it all! The owner and his family could not be more caring about the guests. The hotel itself is very charming. It’s an oasis away from the grind of Aswan city life. Eine wunderschöne private Unterkunft auf dem Westufer von Assuan. Gebaut im nubischen Stil bietet das Guesthouse einen sehr charmanten Einblick in das nubische Leben. Die Zimmer und Bäder sind sehr sauber und gepflegt. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank, Klimaanlage, Ventilator und kostenloses WLAN. Die Atmosphäre ist äußerst ruhig und relaxed. Aus den Zimmern tritt man direkt in einen sehr grünen Garten, der von Mangobäumen beschattet wird. Von dort, wie von einer weiteren Terrasse aus hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Stadt Assuan am anderen Nilufer. Das Essen ist köstlich und das liebevoll zubereitet (unbedingt den Fisch probieren!). Die Mitarbeiter sind äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein wirklicher Geheimtip! Ein kleines Paradies!

A beautiful private property on the west bank of Aswan. Built in the Nubian style, the guesthouse offers a very charming insight into Nubian life. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and well-kept. There is a fridge, air conditioning, fan and free WiFi. The atmosphere is extremely calm and relaxed. From the rooms you step straight into a very green garden shaded by mango trees. From there, as from another terrace, you have a wonderful view of the city of Aswan on the other bank of the Nile. The food is delicious and lovingly prepared (definitely try the fish!). The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A real insider tip! A little paradise!
