OK. I have to start with one thing up front, a thank you to Night Manager John Magid who tried. he really did. and was one the best in hospitality that I have run into. He promised a full refund, and he gets my sincere thank you. They have a great manager there. unfortunately, the experience was so poor it was too late to salvage the first impression. now the real real. started on a positive note. check in was great by Dina. all good there. but that's it. that where the positives end, sadly. we get to the room, and its TINY. I know that its depending on the room type you book. but ill tell you, the pictures are…misrepresenting a bit. i was also facing Contruction on a garden view. very little garden, a lot of construction. Showers didn't warm up the water and we were stuck with taking a cold shower until the morning when they sent someone to fix it. the shower shampoo bottles are glued on the wall. as you can imagine. the humidity and water….see pictures. also see how they decided to fix it. very…poor. the service was way below standard, mainly because the staff were very attentive to UAE guests…and that's it. the staff runs to help them, while i ask 4 times for someone to take my food order, along with a 10 min wait. we went to the beach, and at no point did anyone even acknowledge is or offer us beach towels. but others…quick service. we ended up falling asleep, waking up and checking out and leaving, regardless if we get a refund or not for a prepaid stay. I'm sure this may be a one off, but first impressions, I don't recommend anyone stay here. We ended up driving an hour to Almaza to a Jaz property and the stay was outstanding along with exceptional service. For a hotel that charges that amount of money and is offering that level service, it's not worth it. I expected way better.

It was an excellent decision to pamper our family at Al Alamein Hotel! We are absolutely very very impressed with everything! From the sight that greeted us, to the decor, lobby, color scheme, furnishing, staff attention and service, … every moment was so nice! We love all aspects of this lovely and sophisticated resort hotel, a true-blue 5* and highly recommend all to experience a stay and be pampered at Al Alamein Hotel..Every staff member from reception to waiters/waitresses, pool attendant, beach attendant, room service, treated us with utmost respect and made us feel very special and honored to be there. The buffet breakfast spread was amazing; we could not sample everything and definitely spoilt for choice. We were sad that we could not sample the buffet spread at lunch and dinner - it was very attractively displayed and tempting to try everything. Not used to having so much to consume and uncomfortable to waste food, we settled for ala carte and that was equally wonderful and tasty and yummy! We will have to return many times to sample all dishes and all F&B outlets for sure! Our stay was made all the more memorable by Mohd Sofi DM, Ahmed Ali, DM, Hala, GSM, Dina, Nada, Dareen and support staff in F77B outlets such as Gawain Stage 2/Terrace & Origins and Hegazy in the Cafe. Even the staff handling our luggage and the buggy drivers were so very friendly, helpful and super professional. You have a very well-trained team - keep it up! We will be back soon … aiming for Nov 2024 or Mar/Apr 2025. Perhaps you will b able to advise when is an ideal time of the year to visit.

Amazing experience, one of the best holiday breaks we've had in Egypt. We were worried as we were going off season but it actually worked perfectly because it was very peaceful and nice. They take care of everything from valeting your car to helping with luggage. Check in was fast and smooth, we had emailed before arrival about having a baby and we found an excellent baby cot in the room. The room was upgraded to a seaview room which made the stay even better, with beautiful views from our balcony. Massive bathroom and shower room, everything is of high standard and a special thank you to Ahmed el Saieed qnd Ahmed El Sayed Hussein for keeping it clean during our stay. Great touches by the beach and pool with the drinks tank and serving an afternoon juice and providing a hydrating towel. Things like this make for a truly uplifting experience. Main feedback is around three things:

  1. The restaurant gets boring after a few days, the menu is the same for all meals and the quality wasn't great. One evening we ordered the Mixed Grill and it was very disappointing, the rice was stale and the meat under seasoned. So for the rest of the stay, we just stuck to things like pizza and pasta. There's a great breakfast selection but it would've been nice to see some change during the week. I think this is partly due to being off-season and within season, there's probably a much better food selection.
  2. We arrived with a baby in a baby pram yet our room access wasn't accessible, we had to go up the stairs. We ended up just keeping the pram parked downstairs which was fine as it's a safe resort but it would've been helpful to keep accessibility in mind.
  3. The staff around the bar area in the morning surprised me with their loud feedback and complaints about some guests. One morning, a staff member was speaking to another staff member and telling them loudly: "El tarabeeza el wara tarabezt el set el mostafeza". It made me feel conscious that they spoke this way about their guests, they're in agreement that a woman is "mostafeza" (translation: annoying). Another day during lunch service, in the same bar area, a staff member was loudly complaining about how "mot3eba" a guest is (translation: tiring). Most guests spoke Arabic, so it surprised me that the waiting staff were speaking this way about their guests loudly in Arabic. Having said that, I can't fault anything else about the place, the beach, the rooms, the service. It was a wonderful holiday but please do pass on this feedback and take better care around...

So, me & my friend recently spent a few days at Al Alamein Hotel in Sidi Abdel Rahman, and it was kind of a mixed experience.||First off, the location is gorgeous — right on the beach with crystal-clear water of the Mediterranean Sea and a really chill vibe. The hotel grounds are well kept, and the rooms were spacious, with some offering great sea views. Waking up to that was definitely a highlight everyone must try. Housekeeping did a solid job keeping things clean, which always matters. I remember they had the bed set up for us with a Birthday flower arrangement and a welcome cake for me that I really appreciate -really.||The food was a real winner, especially at their main restaurant. The meals were delicious, and the staff made it all pleasant and smooth. Plus, the beach staff were super attentive, always making sure you had everything you needed for a relaxing day by the water. At night, the dining experience was amazing too. There were live band that will serenade guests and even though it was mostly Arabic songs, the vibe was totally wonderful. ||That said, the service was a bit hit or miss sometimes. Also, one unexpected moment was when my friend lost his phone while having some fun at the beach. The tides and waves were high that time and it swept the phone into the water with nowhere to find - but we are pleased that the lifeguards were there helping (namely Khalid). We had it reported at the front desk before we left and are still waiting updates from them (hoping).||Overall, Al Alamein Hotel has a lot in it — stunning location, tasty food, and friendly staff. It’s a great spot if you’re after a peaceful beach getaway for a summer and don’t mind a few little hiccups here and there.||Bonus tip: If you’re around, definitely check out Marassi Marina boulevard nearby. It’s a lively spot with a cool mix of restaurants, cafes, and shops right by the water — perfect for an evening stroll or grabbing a casual bite outside the hotel. It’s a nice way to soak up some local vibes and...
