🛏️Room |The room was nice, smaller, everything clean and tastefully decorated. There was soap, shower gel, shampoo and body lotion in refillable tubes. Other cosmetics can be ordered via the QR code in the bathroom. Minibar is paid, water and instant coffee are included. I recommend taking more hangers and a line with pegs for wet clothes (there is no drying rack on the balcony).||🍽️Food|There are 2 dining rooms. One of them is larger and you can pour any drink yourself. The other is smaller. The overall selection is small, especially lunches and dinners were often repeated, so gradually we had nothing to choose from. They prepare pasta on request and they bake pizza outside (it is really good). They had basic vegetables, vegetable salad and fruit: watermelon, apples, peaches, grapes, bananas, pomegranate, once there was mango. Breakfast was good, various types of sweet pastries, salty ones too, fresh juice. During the day, pizza, fries, ice cream, small pastries and fruit were served outside at the pool bar. The coffee from the machine in the restaurant was really disgusting, good coffee was made from a lever coffee machine at the pool bar. We didn't drink the drinks, they weren't good. ||🏖️Beach and sea |The beach is large, we always found sunbeds (the first rows are always taken early in the morning). It is divided into two parts - one with such large straw umbrellas (the sunbeds are taken early here and there are more stones at the entrance, but nothing that could not be avoided) and the other with smaller straw umbrellas. Here is a nice entrance without stones. Only a couple are located on the side by the local bar. So there is nothing to worry about. The sea is beautiful, clean. ||🛠️Service |This was the biggest problem. The staff always and everywhere preferred the Italian clientele (they have different bracelets). They do not greet guests, they often serve only Italians or those who tip. They often ignore and bypass others. They are also constantly on their mobile phones, which was not normal. The waiters at the pool bar are very unpleasant, specifically Hagag, who refused to pour us a Coke for some unknown reason (we were not the only ones to whom this incident happened), even though we saw X bottles standing in front of us with a Coke. Outrageous behavior. On the beach, a waiter walks between the sunbeds, but again he only serves "selected" guests. For example, for dinner, I already pre-book tables for certain guests. At busy times, they don't have time for dinner, but they try. The only staff who deserve a lot of praise are the gardeners, the cleaners of the outdoor areas and rooms, and the lifeguards. Overall, I think that more supervision of the staff is needed. ||🏢🌴Hotel and surroundings |Everywhere is very clean, no mess or sand on the paths. The sunbeds by the pool were not taken and you could always find a place. The toilets are very clean and fragrant. You can walk along the promenade around the other Jaz hotels or to the local Village, which is beautiful and modern, a completely different world from MM. There is a shop with ordinary groceries and a drugstore at the Jaz Tamerina hotel, and opposite is the Doktor M pharmacy. In the hotel itself there are 3 or 4 shops with souvenirs, handbags, etc. There are also shops in Crystal, where there is an amphitheater. As for entertainment, all the animation is organized by Bravo and is for Italians. One evening there was a mojito party. As for noise, there is absolute silence by the pool and Bravo plays music on the beach and at the weekend there is loud music from a local bar. Otherwise, nothing disturbed us the whole week, and we are used to really noisy hotels full of fun. ||Local guests |I really don't understand why locals, who are often not even guests of the hotel, have access to the hotel and still use the pool and other facilities, including the beach (although they have their own). The staff again ignores other and almost treats them like gods. I think this generally takes away from the hotel's safety. ||❓Overall, the hotel is more like a 4-star hotel, and after reading various reviews, the hotel has dropped quite a bit in terms of quality, which absolutely does not match the price. So I recommend it for undemanding clients. We will...
Read moreFor the price I paid with my family, and the hassle on transportation to get there as the trip from the nearest airport is 3 hours by car with several road detours and construction , you will end up paying EUR 200 for shuttle buses to accommodate family from and to airport both ways. I was disappointed with the overall experience as I thought I would see a paradise, the good part the beach and the weather were amazing but other amenities are normal.
No activities for kids in this place, (some activities were arranged by Italian groups in Italian languages) no kids aqua parks and splashes.
All inclusive packages are not available for individuals, it’s only for specific groups(the majority of guests come from Italy), you can have only breakfast with the room even if you try to pay more to get all inclusive, I don’t know what is the reason for not allowing all inclusive knowing that place is in the middle of nowhere
The rooms were below my expectations , there are no connecting rooms for families or there are very limited numbers but I could not get them even though I had to book 2 months earlier. The rooms are not supplied with basic amenities no sockets to charge and to use for other devices inside the room you will have to unplug coffee maker or side tables to plug your travel adapter, no tissue boxes , no slippers, no toothbrush and toothpaste, no iron and iron board you need to ask for them. The toilet is not equipped with separate Shataf it’s built in inside the cabinet (Turkish Style) which I don’t like. Almaza jaz hotel is the oldest in the area, electricity went off for couple of times and water was interrupted during our stay, there is a whistling sound goes off every now and then in the corridor, swimming towels’ system is inconvenient, unlike other resorts were you get them by the pool side but here you have to request them from the housekeeping at the room and you bring back the used ones with you to the room then you hang them inside a bag outside the door so they replace them with new ones at specific times but still you wake up and find no new towels. The same goes with in-room shower towels, they clean the room but they don’t replace the towels. Several follow up calls so housekeeping can fulfill our requests
Some food lacked hygiene, and my wife got food poisoning during our stay and we had to ask the doctor to visit the room, the doctor made sure he leaves his clinic after 8:00 pm so he charge more despite I was ok to pay him the same if he leaves 7:45
Nearby market is limited to few shops, it’s a 6 minutes walking distance or you can use Club Cars but you need to book them and wait every time.
unlike our previous experience to Sharm El-Shikh at the red sea on the other side of the country where Sharm offer luxury rooms with ultra all inclusive in decent hotels for lower prices and kids enjoyed more.
In general there is no value for the money you pay and it’s not for family with kids, It may be suitable for honeymooners or couples looking for a quiet and relaxed stay, but even then, I would suggest considering other options such as Jaz Crystal, which offers better rooms for a similar price, I tried the coffee shops at both Almaza and crystal lobbies and here are some comparisons: Almaza guests are more Italians while Crystal more Arabs Crystal is more quiet at night Crystal service is better Sheesha is...
Read moreEdit .. we managed to reach the area GM mr sherif leon, who immediately reacted, met us and acted on the spot and acknowledged the mistake of the rude front office manager.
Rude front office manager and terrible treatment.. While this was supposed to be a nice weekend, service from staff is beyond poor..we faced an incident from the hotel Front Office mgr and another associate from recreation on the beach and it was beyond disrespectful.. it ruined the last few hours on the beach and the whole experience.. staff member in recreation decided to profile us, and insisted we r not hotel guests and kept asking us for proof of stay!! When we said we r, showed keys .. seems he still thought we r not .. profiling us! A few min later he calls the front office mgr who came to us on the beach,, and he knows us from check in.. with a new story.. was asking if we have “smuggled” in guests who r using the facilities!! Despite saying we did not.. he insisted we have based on his colleague’s theory so i am the one who has to prove i am not lying!! Wow !! And this resulted in escalation as we asked them to leave us alone and stop this outrageous scandalous attitude on the beach in-front of everyone!! Of course he realized he was mistaken and they made a mistake so recreation mgr came to apologize after creating a scene on the beach.. We asked for the hotel gm / complaints mail and he gave us a generic mail for Front office!!! We r checking out tomorrow and will ensure this is properly escalated.. we treat staff with respect but in return, disrespect is the one thing i see missing in this hotel from many staff members especially the front office manager.. the same Front office mgr who we first saw upon check in .. was so cold and rude and dismissed our questions yet we decided to ignore and enjoy our time.. so to find him in this incident acting as such, invading our space with so much rudeness and zero etiquette , it was really beyond all standards of Basic customer service.. .. (not everyone of course) .. completely ruined our stay from the cheap way they acted.. really.. never AGAIN.. the mgr apology and trying to tone down the incident was...
