Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price or the 5-Star Rating|We stayed at Jaz Oriental in Marsa Matrouh for 8 days, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had.|Check-in and Room Issues: The check-in process was painfully slow. It quickly became clear that unless you give a bakshish (tip), you’ll be ignored or made to wait. We had booked a family room, but were given a regular room with one normal bed and a sofa bed that was completely unusable for sleeping. When we asked to change rooms, we were repeatedly told that no other rooms were available – a lie, as we later learned.|Food and Dining Experience: The food was absolutely terrible throughout our stay. Meat was consistently either burnt or so dry it was inedible. Fruits were old or rock hard, vegetables were of very poor quality, and everything was overloaded with salt or strange spices. The coffee didn’t taste like coffee at all. We couldn't eat properly for the entire trip.|Dining areas were chaotic – we even witnessed people fighting over pasta in the buffet line. Waitstaff openly reserved tables for guests who tipped them, placing juice glasses to “mark” tables and getting upset if anyone else sat there.|Beach and Facilities: The beach was extremely overcrowded, largely because guests from other, cheaper hotels were allowed to use it too. It was impossible to relax – imagine lying with someone’s feet next to your head. Guests “reserved” spots with towels from early morning, so finding a place was a struggle.|There was only one bar on the beach, and they didn’t even offer bottled water. Long queues were constant.|Worst of all, the beach was taken over daily by super loud Italian animators shouting into microphones with blaring music – not ideal if you’re looking for peace and quiet.|Staff and Hotel Condition: Throughout the resort, staff were constantly hinting for tips. The furniture was outdated, and the hotel reeked of cigarettes – definitely not suitable for families or non-smokers.|Overall: We previously stayed at Rixos in Alamein, which is what a real 5-star experience should be. Jaz Oriental, on the other hand, caters to those who don’t mind cheap food, loud crowds, and outdated facilities.|Final Verdict: Never Again. If you're looking for relaxation, quality service, or decent food – this is...

Read moreStayed in July 2024 for 7 nights. A family with a child and a baby. There are good and bad impressions. From the airport to the hotel, you pass through a very dirty and run-down area and arrive in a completely different world surrounded by concrete. The whole complex looks modern, clean and beautiful. The hotel is nice, simple and clean. The rooms are spacious and clean, forced us to take a family room. The sea is beautiful and clean. The food is varied and delicious. The coffee is excellent. The stomach problem did not pass me by, so I have to praise the medical team in the complex. I would like to praise the guy who cleaned the room Abd El Bade very helpful and the waiter Zaton who made sure to solve every problem and serve us as much as possible, always cheerful and smiling. There are also serious disadvantages: When we booked, we sent a request to get a crib for the baby and milk in the room. The agency sent an inquiry and said it was settled. Upon arrival, the cot for the baby is not in the room and milk is offered for an extra charge of $2.50 per meal (no comments). The boy who cleans brought the cot, and we bought the milk ourselves at the store. Everything is subordinated to the Italians. Content only for them, and this hotel hosts two more that do not have a beach, so getting a drink at the bar is sometimes difficult. Drinks are of poor quality Wine and beer, especially for a hotel of this rank. Of course if you order bottled and pay a hefty sum they will get you ok. Juices and other drinks are correct. The coffee is superb. During the day and in the evening, all activities are only for Veroclub, i.e. Italian shows the same. Children cannot participate in any organized programs because everything is in Italian. On weekends there is a problem with arrogant Egyptians who come to the hotel without taking care of the children. The security only reacts when people riot, until then they watch and ignore them, and they usually react to any stupidity. Beach umbrellas too small. You have serious potential to eliminate these shortcomings and make the...
