This is my first time at Helnan chain. The hotel is labeled as a 4 stars hotel since it doesn't offer alcohols. However, if you are looking for a 5 stars stay, you should definitely consider it.
The booking price is very good for Egyptians and residents and these offers would cut down the usual rate to the half.
You would notice a sweet smile from the receiptionist "Mariam" with warm welcoming and lightning procedure to check you in. Indeed it was under 5 minutes. Not only this, but I was so lucky to get a free upgrade to pool view free of charge ( this however won't affect my review ).
The room was extremely clean, large enough for solo traveler like me or for couples. The view is also breathtaking.
The bathroom is hygenic , clean and the hot water is available as you need. The shower knob would provide you with the hot water in few seconds unlike many hotels I had. I would give it an excellent points for the hot water. It also has built-in water jet (I don't like the handle water jet) so that was a another big plus as a preference.
Moving out from the room, the architecture of the building is well crafted. It is a master piece with plenty of setting spaces around the floors that never encountered elsewhere. Meanwhile , it is extremely quiet and you would get a goodnight sleep with no noisy guests.
The only pitfall of the place is the internet. I read many complaints and since engineering running in my veins, I tried benchmarking it myself. The average speed is around 100-200 Mbps with peaks up to 400 Mbps . The problem is the casual interrupt that I logged it many times. I don't know if it is internet instability or a bad IT team unable to efficiently manage the bandwidth for the guests. There is a wired plug but never tried it.
The room service restaurant is a bit pricy but of a great quality. You should try the grilled shrimp as it is of an elite taste.
The breakfast is of somehow limited options. I attached images to give you an estimate of your expectations about it. Most rooms are booked with breakfast included. There is a coffee machine which is all I wished for to start my morning.
Tye checkout process was also quick and hospitable. I was lucky to have it done by Mariam as well. You can't skip her friendly attitude and genuine smile.

This is a hotel that I would come back many times later. Just I hope they do more regarding the internet issues. That's why my overall rating is 4 stars for this...

Their reservations administration team led by Ms. HALA KATAMESH do not tell the truth, and always have ways to bend realities, and push the professional responsibility on the guest. First of all, as a business we reserved an event with certain facilities and timing to start in. We arrived early to find the facility booked to another company that was utilizing it. When our guests arrived, we had to make them wait for about an hour till the team fixed their double booking and we started our event late. Once we started the hospitality arrangements were not on the level, and we experienced a lot of interruptions and walk ins by the staff, that was not comfortable to the event. When this was raised a new waive of apologetic visits were done led by Ms. HALA Katamesh, she wanted to make it up to us, and promised to give a free stay in night in a room for an exchange. We waited for the voucher to come in, and it NEVER came. Once we reminded her of the night they owe us, she said you are welcome, and confirmed both by phone and WhatsApp. Once we arrived, she claimed we have to pay 50% of the fees, and asked us to show any "Written Commitments" and her night manager (I do not recall his name) referred to lack of professionalism from our side, that we needed to close that in writing and that we have to seal it in an email, and pay the room fees. The situation lasted for 1 hour and half, we left the place, and did not take our compensated night and promised to keep this as an online campaign, and will send an email with all facts their hotel management.

The overall atmosphere is one of peace and comfort, with every member of the team dedicated to making your stay unforgettable. This is true Egyptian hospitality at its finest — warm, respectful, and full of heart.
