Mr Shaban the executive manager and all staff of this hotel are such an amazing people, so caring, kind, thoughtful, hardworking, smart and they all go above and beyond for us clients. I am staying here for a month but I love it here so much that I would love to stay even longer. The nature here is so breathtaking, I can't get enough of snorkeling, diving, swimming, horse riding and night sky watching. The animation team in lead of Hassan is so great and he has a massive potential and talent, he is very intelligent and he knows when to talk to guests and when not, he does the most valuable aqua gym classes which I am attending every day and when it comes to dancing, music and entertainment, whetever he is focused on is excellent, he certainly deserves to be the leader of the entire team on an official merit. Hassan's colleague Maryam does a great stretching classes and I witnessed how she was helping a mentally disabled boy and she certainly got all my admiration for that, her heart is so beautiful, she works extremely hard and is so talented and she cares deeply about people. Nancy made me feel very welcomed and throughout my stay she made sure that we had all we needed, she is so sweet, funny and amazing in all she does. Fatima, Mahmoud 1 and Mahmoud 2 and Abdullatif are very supportive, funny, kind and caring. Alaa, Ahmed 1 and Ahmed 2, Mohamed and the entire team made for me delicious Sobia, Sahlep and many other very cool non alcoholic drinks as I never drink alcohol, they are a wonderful team. The cleaners made sure our rooms are spotless and are always kind and have a big smile. Mohamed Sabry, Mr Nader, Mr Nagy, Adam and entire team put so much effort into amazing food and top service, they are a brilliant people. The hotel is a great value vs what you get. I will definitely come back to this hotel because they all are making me feel here that it's my very loving home thanks to Mr Shaban and his family including his sweetest daughters Raghad and Reem. I am so very greatful to be here. 🐬🐢🌊🇪🇬♥️ P.S: There is a new review in Polish by "Martus" - it's totally out of reality and me and my friends are strongly against everything she has written, it's clear she is trying to damage reputation of the management and staff who put their hearts every single day to go above and beyond for us guests. My friend Pavla is currently in Marina Lodge again after 6 weeks with friends and every day she is sending me photos and texts how she is amazed by the executive manager Mr Shaban Ghanem and all staff and how they are inspiring her to bring their level of care and kindness into her senior management role back home in Czechia. ♥️♥️♥️

Very bad experience from the start to the end! I was there with my two children. I booked all inclusive trip with Solfaktor travel agency for the first week of January 2019! We arrived at the hotel at 8:30 pm in the evening. The staff forgot to bed the couch in our room used for the third person and there was no extra blanket that I could use during the night, and they gave us a room where the heating system was not working, it was very cold during the night. The next day early in the morning I asked to change the room. But in the evening the same day I and my older son we both got diarrhea! Luckily I had medicine with me which we took straight away so we were fine until the next day. But their two pools was not heated so the kids couldn't swim during the whole holliday. The children spent the whole time playing table tennis and billiards. The day before we returned home the tabletennisball disappeared! I personally contacted 4 people who are responsible for the kids club and asked them if we could get a new ball for the children to play with it again. They promised me that soon we will get one and nothing happend. On Wednesday morning, one day before we were going home, when I woke up, I discovered marks on my arm and foot, which I recognized directly, lice bite. Because I got the same marks when I got back from Hurghada trip and I found the insect and killed it. When I went to the doctor then to show him my marks he ask me if I just returned from a trip abroad because these creature dont live in cold weather. I went straight to the receptionist Mr. Farid who worked then to tell about what happined, but he claimed that the responsible person for health issues is not available in the morning and he will comes back at 19 o'clock. Okay I say I'll return laiter. I called after we had eaten dinner from our room and asked the front desk but no one could talk to me at 20:30. Therefore I decided to go to the reception personally at 21:30 and then I met a person who was responsible for health reporting, at first he denied the problem but when he listened and saw the marks on my arm and foot, he asked me what I wanted to do? Do you want to change the room? I said I have already been bitten by these small animals and I will leave the hotel at 12 o'clock, the only thing you could do is change all the bed clothes and all the duvets and they did.

Been to a lot of hotels and resorts, never met such a rude, disrespectful stuff like that it was really. 80% of the stuff are rude and have nothing to do with dealing with guests. Hygiene is very low insects and wall geckos, spiders big ones you can find it in pic it was at our room and they took time to respond and take any action after getting us to rooms late, they were treating us really poorly then the upgraded the room to a sea view after I took pictures of the wall geckos and told them to cancel everything. Food is the worst the poorest hotel buffet I’ve ever seen, chef is rude and was rude to me and my mom( young waitress were nice and trying to make things better, the juniors are really hard working and so welcoming and doing their best). Beach is far and the route not prepared you just walk in dessert to reach the sea, however snorkeling there is really beautiful and Adel who is responsible for everything on beach is a nice decent man who made our day, but beach bar stuff are not nice and kinda racist, i don’t is it because of pressure or what. They lake experience in communication, solving problems. Mahmoud Melegy in reception is one of the nice people like Adel, he tried to solve some issues as much as he can. You can go only if you’re willing to spend your vacation in unnecessary problems and negotiations with stuff and taking pictures and use it to take what you really paid for, but for relaxing? no. Mohamed, Ayman, Taha Hossin, Ibrahim, the pasta and morning egg omelette guys mainly restaurant stuff were trying to make things better after we complained and to communicate positively with us But at the end during your vacation you don’t want to keep complaining and solving problems during your days because that’s just a waste of time we just wanted to relax. ( it’s not about the effort made it is about communication experience, ethics, dealing with guests, not being so impulsive with guests then take it back and apologize after complaint) Location is nice though and the pools are really good too. Stuff mentioned it is soft opening that’s why there’s much negatives but they could have stated this before we book.

Our stay at the Marine Lodge Hotel was simply unforgettable. From the very first moment, we felt warmly welcomed and cared for with extraordinary attention: every detail was designed to make our experience truly special.

The staff was impeccable in every respect. A special mention goes to Tifa, whose smile and kindness made every day more enjoyable – a true professional of hospitality, always attentive and thoughtful. Alongside him, Mahmood was equally courteous and helpful. Unforgettable also the kindness of Nancy, who offered us a wonderful dinner on the beach and fulfilled every request with such care, knowing this was a special trip.

Even the staff who escorted us to our room and helped with the luggage were delightful: every morning we found the bed decorated with elegant towel art and flower petals, a delicate and refined gesture. We enjoyed pure relaxation with wonderful couple massages, a perfectly done pedicure, and even traditional Egyptian hair removal.

The diving school within the resort proved to be excellent: professional, well-organized, and attentive, they guided us with a clear and reassuring pool briefing that allowed me to approach diving with total peace of mind.

The restaurant service was another highlight: Mustafa deserves a special mention for his outstanding pizza and delicious desserts made with the same dough – true delicacies. Ahmed, the restaurant manager, also stood out for his professionalism and care, together with all the staff, always smiling and attentive.

The entire structure is flawless: a spotless pool, fast Wi-Fi everywhere, all-inclusive services with drinks included, and a relaxed atmosphere without any commercial pressure. Inside the resort, there are also some charming little shops, including a spice shop run by a South African owner – wonderful incenses and products, highly recommended.

The check-out management was exemplary: not only did they keep our luggage, but they also allowed us to use the hotel until late in the evening – shower, dinner, snacks, and drinks all day long, at no extra cost. Even when we left half an hour late, there was no problem at all – just smiles and total availability.

A special thanks also goes to Bob, responsible for transfers, who treated us with great care and kindness. Every single member of the staff, from managers to service staff, showed professionalism, warmth, and a constant smile that made our stay unique.

The location of the resort is perfect: just a few minutes from the airport (super convenient) and right in front of Port Ghalib, elegant, scenic, and atmospheric, easily reached by a small taxi boat for only two euros – especially beautiful at night when all lit up. Less than two kilometers away is Marsa Mubarak, the bay of turtles and dugongs, easily accessible also through the diving center. About 20–30 minutes away is Abu Dabbab, another stunning bay, while in just over an hour you can reach Sharm El Luli, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Red Sea – and even in the world.

The hotel’s beach is very beautiful and well equipped. Walking a little further, in a wilder area with an abandoned boat, you can admire corals and countless colorful fish – like a natural aquarium.

The hotel director himself personally came to greet us at departure, and during our stay, he often asked if everything was to our satisfaction. A gesture that perfectly sums up the philosophy of this hotel: placing the guest at the very center.

The Marine Lodge Hotel was not just a place to stay, but a true experience of authentic hospitality. In just a few days, I built a wonderful human connection with the staff that I will carry in my heart.

I am certain that I will return to Egypt, and I will definitely stay here again – or at least stop by to greet these extraordinary people. I wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay, with top-notch services and hospitality that goes far beyond...

My husband and I have been traveling for decades. We have visited many countries, but Egypt, and Marsa Alam in particular, always remains a desirable destination for our annual trip. Why? Because it offers excellent and relatively inexpensive diving, and every year we buy a tour to Marsa Alam to dive with our favorite "SeaWorld" Diving Center. Over the 15 years of our addiction to diving, we have stayed in various '4' and '5' star hotels. This year, we have chosen Marina Lodge in Port Ghalib. We were won over by the price, proximity to our favourite diving center, and also good reviews from visitors. Well, going forward, "Marina Lodge" met and even exceeded our expectations: excellent location, compact multi-level buildings, cozy, very green grounds, large rooms. Smiling and friendly staff, and the food quality is very good indeed. Fun fact: it's rare to find in Egypt, but the baseboards on the floor in the toilet and shower are nicely sealed with silicone :) The old TVs in the rooms have recently been replaced with new LED Samsung ones. The Wi-Fi is fast enough and available everywhere, and definitely sufficient for communication, YouTube and social networking. We had two small technical problems: connecting our laptop and smartphones to the TV and also got a small issue with the glass door in the shower. The manager in reception has logged our requests, and said he would send us the IT specialist to resolve the TV connection issue, and a technician to fix the door. Knowing the standard Egyptian approach: “Ok, will be done soon, Inshallah”, we thought we would have to wait for the specialists the day after tomorrow, maybe a couple of days. But as soon as we got to our room (took 3-5 minutes), a smiling and quite advanced IT-guy knocked at our door, and helped us and quickly set up everything we needed! Then (almost simultaneously) the repair crew lso arrived, with a drill and the other tools! They reinforced the door, and then nicely cleaned up the work area after the door was fixed - all took less than 20 mins!

Now about the food. The chef, Mr. Adham Mohamed, does magic in the kitchen, and surprises us every day with delicious and varied dishes. During the first several days, we tasted Arabic, Chinese, and Japanese cuisine. I must say, all the dishes are prepared with soul and ingenuity. The choice was quite sufficient, and everything is indeed very tasty - definitely not ''fake variety', when you have countless salads to choose from, but can eat just 2-3 tasty ones, or all desserts taste almost the same, just the shapes and colors are different. There are always several kinds of meat/grilled chicken and fish. Quite often, there is beef "kofta" kebab, or special Egyptian pastry - ''Feteer' (can be with meat, cheese/vegetables, or sweet filling), unforgettable and very tasty, prepared with smile and love by sunny Mr. Mustafa;) For seafood dinner - we had smoked mackerel, shrimp paella and fried fish of many kinds, and it all was so delicious! And what amazing sweet pastries! The selection of cakes/desserts is always excellent. It's simply impossible to resist and not be tempted by another little cake :) The staff is very helpful, but unobtrusive, and eager to help and make our stay at the hotel as comfortable as possible. Excellent hotel, positive staff, amazingly delicious cuisine! Thank you very much, Marina Lodge! Thanks to all of you, our vacation was awesome. We will definitely visit "Marina Lodge"...
