Heartfelt stay with incredibly kind staff

I stayed at this resort for seven nights and had a really positive experience – especially thanks to the warm-hearted and attentive receptionist guy Ash.

Although check-in time was at 2 p.m., I arrived around 6 a.m. The reception was officially closed, but some of the staff kindly called the receptionist – and he showed up within 10 minutes, even though we clearly woke him up. He was incredibly kind and welcoming, didn’t charge any early check-in fee, and even helped me carry my luggage to the suite.

The suite was well laid out – with a sleeping area, a small kitchen, and a balcony. The view from the balcony was beautiful. There was no hairdryer in the room, but I got one from reception upon request. Every day we got fresh coffee, tea, and two bottles of water for the room. Cleaning was on request and very efficient – one time a team of three came right away. You can even arrange the cleaning time in advance at the reception.

The pool area is clean and quiet, with umbrellas and shaded spots. The resort restaurant is right next to the pool. I booked half board, which included both breakfast and dinner. The food was overall okay – nothing overly fancy, but clean, tasty, and well prepared. Most importantly, I had no stomach issues at all during the entire week. I met other travelers on boat trips who experienced digestive problems at different places, so I was really relieved and grateful that the food at the resort was safe and clean.

There’s also a small pharmacy located just outside the resort, on the way toward the harbor – very practical if you need anything. (There’s also a bar nearby)

Every time I wanted to go to the beach, I got a free ticket and beach towels. The same applied to the pool area – fresh towels were always available.

What truly made the stay special was the receptionist. He was always present, calm, respectful, and willing to help. He even helped me find diving and snorkeling options by making calls himself – even though the hotel doesn’t directly offer tour services.

The entire staff was kind and never pushy – just warm, funny, and welcoming people.

Even on checkout day, I was allowed to stay longer in the room without extra cost because my transfer was scheduled after the official checkout time. That gesture was much appreciated.

I’d absolutely come back – also with my child and family. It’s a 3-star resort, but the service, the people, and the little touches really made...

Ich weiß leider nicht, wie diese guten Bewertungen zustande gekommen sind, wir jedoch können sagen, dass dies hier nicht einmal 1 Stern bekommen sollte.. Wir sind nun 3 Tage hier & wechseln nun die Unterkunft! Es geht los mit dem Zimmer/Wohnung, die Wohnung ist sehr groß, mit Küche, Badezimmer, Schlafzimmer, Toilette, allerdings ist hier alles wirklich schmutzig, teils kaputt… Wir haben uns All Inclusive gebucht, mit Essen zu jeder Mahlzeit am Buffet. Fehlanzeige! Das Frühstück bekommt man noch am „Buffet“, je nach dem worauf der Koch Lust hat, gibt es auch sporadisch mal Pancakes oder Rührei, also gab es an unseren 3 Tagen Aufenthalt einmal Rührei & am anderen Tag mal Pancakes, am dritten weder noch. Die Auswahl kann man nicht einmal als Auswahl werten, Bilder packe ich im Nachgang dazu. Beim Mittag- und Abendessen gab es kein Buffet, hier musste nun ala Cart bestellt werden, eine sehr sperrliche Auswahl.. Am ersten Abend hab es für uns nicht einmal Beilagen, sondern nur frittiertes Fleisch, inklusive einer „Salatbar“ bestehend aus Mais, Salatgurken und Tomaten, nicht einmal ein Salatdressing, auch hier ein Bild am Ende von der Speisekarte. Poolhandtücher gabs an der Rezeption, welche auch sehr dreckig waren, voller Flecken. Dann zum Pool, welcher verhältnismäßig wirklich nett war, recht groß. Allerdings hier die Liegen und die Tische, kaputt und dreckig, auch die Sonnenschirme teils kaputt. WLAN wird im ganzen Bereich zugesichert, ging nicht und helfen konnte uns hier auch keiner der Angestellten. Die Angestellten sind teils sehr unhöflich, 2 Mitarbeiter sind aber trotz allem freundlich geblieben, was das ganze nicht erträglicher gemacht hat. Direkte Strandlage wurde uns über Check24 angezeigt, wir hatten einen Fußweg von 10 Minuten zum Strand UND benötigetein ein Ticket vom Hotel, dass wir dort überhaupt hin konnten. All Inclusive Getränke? Wir wissen es nach 3 Tagen noch nicht, was beinhaltet ist und was nicht, konnte uns keiner sagen, dann sollte so etwas auch nicht angeboten werden. Die Bilder online bei Check24 entsprechen teilweise nicht der Wahrheit, Strand, Pool, Wasserrutschen wurden hier angepriesen, nur der Pool ist da, aber das auch nicht der, wie auf den Bildern zu sehen war.

Also Fazit: Wir zahlen nun 500€ Aufpreis um in eine andere Unterkunft zu dürfen, um unseren Jahresurlaub noch etwas genießen zu können! Daher bitte nicht buchen, es sei denn jemand hat Interesse während des gesamten Aufenthalt das selbe zu essen & sich auf Diät zu setzen.. Mehrere Familien hatten das selbe Problem wie wir und haben sich nun beschwert, teils mit Hotelwechsel, teils mit...

The location of the compound is perfect - right in the heart of Port Ghalib marina, close to restaurants, bars, cafés, but still very quiet. Parking is provided. The apartment is very comfortable and spacious, well furnished and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bed is big and comfortable, there is a huge refrigerator with freezer, very big TV and spacious bathroom. The staff is very polite and helpful and the service is very good. Great terrace with an amazing view of the lagoon! Nice swimming pools and surroundings. The beach is 6-7 minutes walking through marina and is quite big and nice with a coral reef, very good for snorkeling. All in all very nice experience, we highly recommend this place and will be...
