Terrible is not enough ! Please don't go there I don't know how this hotel has this rating !!! It should be one star This is really the worst hotel I have ever been too .. everything is just too awful
Food: Literally, food is unedible , and many of it has already gone bad , no variety at all , meatballs aren't made of meat and I have no idea what they were made of.. They don't seem to wash vegetables too, they taste weird , desserts are a disaster, they are tasteless with the least quality , even chicken has a gross smell Hot drinks taste awful, milk was diluted like 4 water: 1 milk I barely ate something and I stayed hungry that day
Guests' social class is extremely low , they use their hands to take food from the trays , they don't wear swimming suits in the pool ..
Pools: The pools are filthy and very busy, you can't even see your legs , the music is too loud and really bad , everything is just too awful
Service: Service level is zero, reception people are direspectful, dishonest and extremely rude, they shout at guests.. they even tell me how I should behave !! including their manager Check in was very late , we were supposed to check-in by 2 pm.. after reaching the hotel at 10 a.m , until 4 pm we haven't checked in with a reception full of people more than 100 Hallways are dirty with a disgusting smell , staff have no idea how to be professional or clean
Rooms Rooms has no network or WiFi While we paid for soft all inclusive , there is no water in the room !! When we asked for just a bottle, one of the staff told us to buy it !!!
Room was unclean with a very bad smell , when we entered, there weren't any towels too!! There is no hot water in the bathroom!!! , we had to take shower using cold water !
We had to call the reception more than 6 times to ask for a mosquitto repellent as we were getting eaten alive with a baby less than 6 months
We stayed one night at this hotel but could't bear and checked out the next day, nobody asked how to help, nobody wanted to improve anything...
Beach Beach is around 7 minutes walk from the hotel + walking inside the hotel to reach the gate = more that 10 min. walk to reach the sea which we didn't like too , water was shallow and unclean too
Overall, this hotel is a harsh torture method , it was a nightmare that I wished I wake up...
Read moreWe stayed at Zahabia Hotel & Beach Resort in November, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant.
The staff seems to deliberately assign old, poorly maintained roomsat first, likely hoping that guests won't complain or request a change. The furniture in the rooms is outdated, the bathroom is filthy, and the shower is a disaster. The curtain in the shower was moldy and disgusting, the space was so small that it was uncomfortable to use, and the water pressure on the 5th floor was incredibly weak. Washing shampoo out of your hair felt like a challenge. On a couple of occasions, the water stopped running entirely.
One of the most alarming issues was theft in the hotel. Several guests had money stolen from their rooms. Housekeepers opened suitcases and took cash. In some cases, even when money was stored in the safe at reception, part of the money went missing. Shockingly, the management begged victims not to involve the police. While they returned the stolen money, they forced victims to sign documents stating that they had no further claims against the hotel. The hotel staff often accused guests of being drunk or irresponsible, claiming they spent the money and forgot. It was truly appalling. Do not leave your money unattended anywhere, not even in the safes.
The food was equally disappointing. The selection was extremely limited, and what little was available was tasteless and unappetizing. For breakfast, there was no coffee. Instead, they served some kind of brown liquid that neither looked nor smelled like coffee. Guests with all-inclusive packages could theoretically get real coffee at the lobby bar, but only after 10:00 AM—long after breakfast is over. If you wanted a proper coffee during breakfast, you'd have to pay 50 Egyptian pounds for something like a cappuccino. If you care about good meals during your vacation, this is not the place for you.
In summary, this hotel is not for those looking for comfort or a relaxing vacation. It might work for people who only need a place to sleep while spending their days on excursions or diving trips. Otherwise, I would strongly advise...
Read moreWe just felt like home and as a part of a big family at Zahabia!
I stayed in a 5-star-resort in Hurghada a few years ago, the overall experience at Zahabia was better, so I don't get it why only 3 stars for this resort?!
Starting with the restaurant team, animation team, cleaning team, garden and beach team to the management team, all were great, wonderful and every interaction with them gives you good energy, even if you talk to them or not.
The beach is amazing, wirh a lot of beautiful palm trees, entrance is with sand and it is suitable even for small kids, coral reef and fishes that can be saw event directly witout snorkeling equipment, beach bar and clean towels.
Hotel's garden is beautiful and very well maintained. Pools looks good, they have a nice pool bar near team, but we didn't use it, because we prefered the beach or to go out on excursions.
The rooms are clean, with balcony, the towels and bed linen are changed daily and in the last day they even put a bouquet with aromatic plants in our room!
The restaurant serves a lot of traditional Egyptian or Middle Eastern food, even fresh or cooked. We will miss their falafel from breakfast! And their fresh bread! We went to 2 excursions (Cairo and Luxor) and we received for both breakfast boxes and they waited us with late dinner! We were surprised to receive this in a 3-star hotel! All soft and alcoholic drinks are from bottles and they are very good. Coca Cola is excellent here!
We bought an excursion from hotel, an ATV safari trip to a bedouin village near Hurghada. It was very nice also, we recommend it!
They serve water at all the bars and restaurant during the day, and if you want to buy bottles of water there is a shop cross the street where you can find 1.5 bottles of water very cheap (4 pcs for a buck or so, the prices are in EGP so it is even cheaper if you pay by Revolut or other international card).
We felt very attached to all the people here at Zahabia and especially the restaurant team and the hotel management! We already miss them (and we arrived home for less than 24 hours) and we hope they also miss us!
We will...
