If you’re looking for hearty, German-style cuisine in Hurghada, Happy Bar might be worth a visit. Located in a touristy area, the prices are slightly above local standards, but still reasonable. I visited in May and found the service to be friendly and fast, and the restaurant itself was clean and well-kept.

Sehr gutes deutsches Restaurant. Die gute alte deutsche Küche schmeckte lecker. Ich hatte Buletten mit Kartoffeln und Gemüse dazu reichlich Soße. Meine Frau bestellte Pizza und kam aus dem schwärmen nicht mehr raus. Der Teig so herrlich fluffig weich, einfach wirklich so wie Pizza schmecken muss. Unsere Tochter hatte Pommes mit einem Burger, aber da der Burger so groß war haben die Pommes nicht wirklich mehr reingepasst. Mein Bier noch genüsslich ausgetrunken und nebenbei die Pommes weggenascht. Kross und gut gewürzt. Meine Frau hatte eine kleine Weinprobe um zu schauen welcher Wein es denn sein durfte.
