Resort is absolutely fantastic, pool area and water park makes it even more enjoyable for families with children. They were going some renovations and build up jobs which to improve current look, which I believe some guests could find annoying especially if they had rooms next to. Let's be honest egiptian weather is welcoming tourists all year round and all jobs are made just to improve even more what's currently there. |Resort is great; large with access to the beach and coral reefs, great snorkeling without leaving resort. Sea is shallow along the beach but it's actually due to coral reefs, so not the best spot for someone who would want swimming. |A lot of activities during the day and a great entertainment team (getting to Mimo and funny young big afro guy I forgot name 😅) super enthusiastic and spreading energy - Zumba, foam beach party, pool party with warrior ninja, dance shows etc An amazing young people. |Pool area is well looked by lifeguards and stuff, no matter what time they will always sort out chair for us. All guys there are lovely but special star for Mahmoud 👌⭐ Mainly russian tourist here (not sure if they are limited where to go holiday as I never saw them eg Greece Spain Canaries), but as well British, Italian and Polish. I liked that entertainment team was trying to pick any language music to fit taste of all nationality what will never happen in Britain since British stick to English music only. A big thank you for playing polish song while evening disco ❤️ |Rooms always clean and loaded with bottled water and coffee, with great crafts made out of towels it's just something special 👌 |For me a bit let down is people who selling stuff at resort especially those with pictures as they are super nice to convince you to do photo sessions and expect you to buy all of them. They seem never leave you alone until you book session, it's a few guys who will approach you one by another and politely no thank you doesn't work. Hotel should sort them out. As long as I do appreciate being introduced to their offer then I'm finding annoying to be harassed every an hour with someone another offering the same. Once we booked session they left us alone finally but since I didn't want any photo book or anything prepared with photo shop as package it started not to be so nice. On the end I paid for those pictures I liked the most and they were downloaded to my device (no printing, so seriously it's not like they lost any money by printing them out and not being able to sell them). I wanted just 2 pictures to be photoshopped as my daughter back full with straps after sunbathing and I had to ask about doing it twice and heard to come another day. It's disgusting politics cos before booking session it's all seem to be no problem, even discussing price cos let's be honest pricing is kinda high once they see British tourist is like we should pay only with British money which doesn't happen anywhere else, they will accept American dollars but not really happy about Egyptian. |People who introducing SPA part available in resort are super polite, yeas as well pushy and keep coming back with offer but much more flexible about pricing and we made a great deal for Turkish massage (it was an amazing experience ⭐) SPA them it was the only one in the resort who still been super polite and smiley after we book session, passing by every day saying hello and how are you. Something what photographers should learn. Just one guy from photographer team (I don't remember name), orange t-shirt and curly hair with a big eyes a bit red, he done pictures as well while pool parties was someone really positive all the time without putting his attitude on us. All rest should learn from him as is a big off having this attitude on the end. |Guy who selling trips super positive man. Even if we just book trip with someone else he was coming round just to chat general chat about Egypt, couture, life here etc so nice to see there are people who are nice just cos they are nice , not nice just cos they want you to pay for something. |Food in resort is an amazing 😍 my hubby stick with pasta and pizza and burgers at beach bar as him being proper British who just eats very little variety of food (tbh British food is boring for me) so he could tell it was nothing else to eat 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but that British they always winging about food. For me food been an amazing - different type of rice to go with lovely vegetables grilled or in sauce, meat chicken beef all soft and tender, sea food, delicious calamari and shrimps, grilled meat a lot to choose every day. Not mentioning fresh pancakes and waffles and a lot of sweet and dessert. Salads bar and lovely sushi bar 👌 beach bar serving late dinner at 11pm pizza or pasta. Beach bar in total is great place with food pretty much whole day (burgers and pizza are amazing) and stuff working there...
Read moreCheck in/out-|Hotel is around 15 minutes from the airport. We hired private transport for £26 return for 7 people.|Check in at 1400 and check out 1200. There is late checkout available until 2200 for a fee. We paid £25 for checkout till 1800.||Rooms-|The hotel is set over many different blocks centred around the pool area. Blocks 31-38 were the more quiet end of the hotel away from the beach and late night disco. Room 3209 is where we stayed and had 3 small double beds and sofa.|Shower gel/shampoo/soap bar provided and re stocked throughout our stay. Air con and safe in all rooms free of charge. Kettle with tea/coffee and a mini fridge also. Milk can be be collected from the bars/restaurants for tea making in the rooms. Balcony with 2 chairs and a table. These blocks over look the quiet pool so very minimal noise. ||Location- |This hotel is in the area of Nabq Bay which is 20 mins taxi ride to the main area of Sharm. Outside the hotel there are some small supermarkets, souvenir shops, excursions and restaurants. You can catch a bus directly outside to travel into Sharm/Naama Bay/Sharks bay. Hard rock, McDonald's, KFC and some more souvenir shops are a 30 minute easy walk from the hotel along one road. Taxis can also be flagged down outside the hotel but make sure to agree a price before getting in. You can use an App called InDrive (similar to Uber) for local taxis. A local bus around Nabq should be no more than 5 Egyptian dollars each person, cash only.||Beach- |The hotel is directly on a private beach. The jetty is 1km long with a reef to snorkel at the end. About 1/4 of the way along the jetty is an area roped off where you can swim and snorkel. This is watched by life guards during the hours of swimming. After dark the jetty is closed. The beach is a fine shingle/sand, and I would recommend beach shoes, especially when going into the sea. The sea itself is very shallow, and you can walk some distance while still only be waist height and very minimal waves if any. There is a beach bar which serves both alcohol and non alcoholic drinks, burgers, fries, pizza, and ice cream. Most of the activities from the animation team seem to happen down here. There is volleyball, boccia, darts, zumba and stretching. There are many sun beds, fixed parasols and wind breaks, we had no issues getting any beds. There is a shop on the beach which is cheaper than the one in the hotel. It sells many things from souvenirs, beach shoes, snacks, drinks, and clothing. Card and cash accepted here, and they are open till late. There are toilets and showers also here. ||Pool- |There is one main pool in the middle of the hotel which divides into two. There is a swim up bar which was not open during March, I'm not sure when this opens. There are 2 water slides here. The main pool starts around 60cm and then slops towards the middle by the fountains. There is a children pool as well beside this. I'm not sure if the pools was heated, but we did not find them cold in March. There is a quiet pool between blocks that had a small jacuzzi type area but we did not use this area. The Aqua Park is in a separate area and the slides operate between 1000-1300 and 1500-1700. This consists of smaller slides for younger children and also bigger slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool. There is a drinks bar, but this does not serve alcohol. All the pools have lifeguards, and they are very attentive to the water. There are many beds and parasols around all the pools, although the Aqua Park seemed to fill up very quickly. ||Food/ Drink- |There are three main restaurants where breakfast, lunch and dinner take place. All do the same food and drink. It is a typical all inclusive buffet with meats, soups, salads, rice, pasta and puddings. Each evening is themed. We are fussy eaters and each day never struggled to find food. There are two A La Carte restaurants on site, a Grill and an Italian which can be booked via guest relations in advance. The Grill was very good and was a mixed meat sharing skillet style. The Italian however we did not enjoy and found the food cold however other seemed to enjoy this so maybe we just had a bad night. Drinks wise, again very similar to a typical all inclusive. Local beer and spirits, wine, cocktails/mocktails and fizzy drinks. Some were better then others and this is just personal taste. ||Staff- |We found all the staff to be very helpful and nothing seemed to be to much trouble for them. A smile and manners go a long way. ||This was a very good hotel for the price we paid and also the area. I would...
Read moreWe recently stayed at the Sea Beach Aqua Park Resort in Sharm El Sheikh during October 2024, and it was a great holiday experience, especially for families.
Very appealing well-placed resort with lots of facilities, and stunning views in all directions. Some noisy and somewhat intrusive renovation work was ongoing during our stay. Thankfully, we couldn’t hear the heavy machinery whilst relaxing by the pool, it was only really an issue when you leave the lobby and walk to the main entrance. Short drive from airport and nearby hotspots. Small shopping areas just outside resort selling touristy-style gifts. Prices varied massively for the same items and not all shopkeepers were welcoming. For buying SUPER cheap snacks, drinks, etc. walk to supermarket called Metro.
Hallways were clean and open, offering great views. If offered ride in the elevator, avoid! Very unsafe. Rooms were mostly clean, and the facilities were as expected. Our safe did not work, and waiting around for security to fix was a waste of time. Cleaners are all male, and there is an expectation of tips if you want anything special.
Additionally, note that the shower inside the bathroom in our room was separated from the bedroom/living area by a lightly frosted glass wall which becomes very transparent when wet, or when a person is close. Do not expect complete privacy in the shower because you won’t get it.
Unfortunately, the food was a bit of a let-down as it was mostly catering for eastern European and middle eastern cuisines. If you are travelling with fussy eaters, you have some difficulties feeding people. Themed nights were interesting, we enjoyed the Egyptian night, where we felt like the hotel provided a proper taste of their culture. There is a bar near the beach that served burgers, pizzas, fries, and ice cream for a few hours every day. A la carte dining experiences were a waste of time. The best thing about the “Grill” was the sunset that evening, as the food itself was bland, portions were small, and food was identical to everything we’d had in the main buffet. Due to our poor experience here, we cancelled our visit to the “Italian”.
Hotel management, if you read this, give Mohamed Awad a pay rise/promotion as he is the lifeblood and backbone of the waiting team. He always made us feel welcome, tried to get us tables together during the busiest periods (as there were 12 of us), and provided table service with drinks and food. Most of all, he was very interactive with us, especially our children. This man’s level of service and approach to us as guests left a lasting positive impact on us.
Some activities we did: • Snorkeling around the pier – COST: FREE (if you have a snorkel) – I cannot overstate this enough, do not miss out on snorkeling off the end of the pier. The wildlife under the surface here is out of this world and you must see it. Expect to see vibrant colors, thousands of fish, and living coral reef. • “Sharm by Night” excursion – COST: £10-20 pp – Avoid at all costs. Complete waste of time and money. Our rep, Bob (Ehab), mis-sold this to us. We complained along with everyone else on the bus as nobody was happy, requested a refund, and received nothing. Sun International were a huge let down here. • “Ras Mohamed Nature Reserve boat trip” excursion – COST: £25-35pp – This really was a beautiful day out and everyone really enjoyed it. Lots of relaxing on a boat in the sun, lots more snorkeling and swimming opportunities, and you can also go diving. • Watersports at the hotel – COST: £Various – We found numerous pushy salesmen at the hotel, selling banana boat experiences, parasailing, submarine rides, speedboat trips and more. Good fun, but they finish very quickly. • Local restaurants – COST: £Various – Food prices at local restaurants were very reasonable for the portions received and the staff were friendly. • “Dune buggies in the desert” excursion – COST: £20-30 pp – Group ride out to the desert to visit the Bedouin villages for tea and camel rides. An overall well-cultured trip, this was a very...
