LONG review after returning from our 11 day trip. We had the best time ever. We have already booked to come back next year.
Hotel - the hotel is absolutely spotless. The rooms are big, clean and the beds were SO comfortable. The cleaners work so hard and work non stop to make sure everything is clean. The man cleaning our room made towel models everyday for our daughter and he made friends with us, he would come and knock on and say hello and make sure we were all ok and the room was ok. They leave you tonnes of water and new towels everyday. The main part of the hotel/pool area/beach and restaurants was always spotless and it’s a beautiful place to wake up to. Water park was great we didn't use this much as my daughter loved the main pool but it was fun and a great addition to the hotel!
Food/drinks - food was absolutely fine! Yes, could get repetitive some days but they have to cater for thousands of people 365 days a year! They have different themes each night which was great. BBQ night was amazing. My daughter and partner are both fussy eaters but they always found something to eat and never went hungry. They also have 4 al la carte restaurants. Stone grill, Indian, Asian and Italian. We dint manage to make the India or Asian but we went to the Italian twice and it was the best steak we’ve ever had! They have a mermaid snack bar open 12-4 that serves hot dogs, chips, burgers, pizza and pasta made whilst you wait and chicken wraps/sandwiches. Drinks are also fine. Beer, cocktails, wine. Yes it’s not as nice as you’d get probably in the UK but we never went thirsty 😂. Coffee corner in reception open all night for drinks and also give crisps out if your hungry late at night. Not one of us got poorly once and I ate and drank everything including ice in drinks. Only thing we did was brush our teeth with bottled water.
Staff - the staff, well, they made our stay. They are amazing. So friendly and attentive. From the lifeguards to the waiters and the entertainment staff. They work so so hard all day and night to make sure you are happy. You never go thirsty or hungry. I never once had to carry my bag round the pool or set the sunbeds up. Every morning they would save our sunbeds for us. They remember your drinks orders, bring you drinks, check on you, so polite and happy all the time even with the long hours they work. They were amazing with my daughter. We made great friends with Galal the lifeguard, he even bought me and my daughter a little gift before we went home. Ahmed along with all the other waiters were amazing worked so hard. All of the entertainment staff worked tirelessly. My daughter was shy to start with but they always tried to get her involved. And come the end of the holiday she was brimming with confidence to join in. Yes the entertainment can get a bit samey, especially if you’re there for 2 weeks, but they work so hard and personally I always think a holiday is what you make it. If you sit around and don’t join in, you’ll be bored! We made lots of friends and got involved when we wanted and we were more than happy and entertained.
We left the resort multiple times, did desert trip, ras Mohammed boat trip and again were looked after and greeted with friendly faces and beautiful scenery. Everyone we met was so lovely and attentive and the trips were amazing.
Lastly Sharm airport I was really worried about this after hearing horror stories, but we found it quick and easy! No issues at all. Only thing that’s ropey is the toilets, take your own loo roll 😂😂
Long review but I really wanted to voice my feelings on this hotel as some of the reviews iv seen are really harsh. We had an amazing time and we are looking forward to...

Read moreAlthough we had a great time, it cant beat the Mediterranean resorts, in quality, class, attention to detail and food; …..still the location, rooms and pools were good. A special mention to the animation activity team who were so engaging, friendly, fun and went out of their way to make us feel so welcome, at ease and form a special relationship. Well done and thank you!
The resort is a short distance from the airport and its really easy to get transportation. Coral sea resorts are a chain, and clearly intend to open more places in SES. Its a pity that they are not focusing on maintaining and improving the current resort. The reception is quite good, as most resorts try and make a good impression. There is one food hall , which unfortunately is quite dated: it looks like it was last updated in the mid 90s and now is kept functional. The food is terrible. Theres no getting away from it. Its the general mess slop of poor quality overcooked oily fried food. Despite no dearth of beef, the meat is either boiled in some commercial favoured cornflour sauce or chucked without seasoning to fry in oil till its dry. Thankfully they also do a decent selection of salad which was a life saver. The selection of food is clearly geared towards the general majority as most of the clientele are salt of the earth working class Brits: they may come across as intimidating and not the most gracious and outgoing of humanity, but like any section of society are actually quite a mixed bag. These holiday makers seem almost gentle and friendly compared to the staff who are almost exclusively young to middle aged Egyptian men and easily mistaken for gruff, coarse irritable and grumpy : however that may be because they are dealing with overheated and dehydrated brits. A day or two into tve holiday and they clearly recognise you, immediately soften up, smile, chat and go out of their way to meet and serve you. Language is clearly an issue. Most of them can easily understand the basics resort requirements, but immediately struggle on the slightest hint of conversation drifting off topic. But they are always ready to serve, even if most have a blank joyless expression most of the time, and manage a dry smile when they recognise you. But it was Ramadan , and it cant be fun serving snacks, food and drink while fasting, all in the blazing desert sun. Oh and be prepared to have to pay over and above you “all inclusive” fee with extra / additional fees for decent wi fi, booking al acarate resturants, eating in some al acarte restaurants (definitely NOT all inclusive) and additional fees during any excursions even though you booked them with your tour operator like TUI
Step out of the resort and be prepared to fork out endless tips, exorbitant prices and many hidden extra fees even if you booked your tour and experiences via TUI, who just collect more money but still allow the tour operator to slap on as many extras / additional fees as they think they can manage to get away with. Still would recommend going to the old city / mosque and Pirates snorkelling cruise to Ras Mohammad and the White Island. Also book the beach activities: 5 in one (snorkelling, parachute, banana boat, magic carpet/ speed boat) ….then ask them to break it up so you do one activity each day…that really stretches it out and gets you your money’s worth …….you will see how when...
