Talked with the manager directly and made a reservation, they said it was guaranteed and would have a room waiting. Came from another country and arrived when our reservation was for and was told they had no rooms and they never saved our reservation because according to the manager "most of the people who make reservations dont show up so we didnt trust you would either". The worst part is they didnt care. No apology, or offer to help or call another place. Just a shoulder shrug and " hope you find somewhere else" Other than the stress of having to go all over town trying to find a new hotel with available rooms at last minute, it was probably better because the pictures they sent were very outdated. It didnt look at all like their photos and was extremely run down and dirty, so it was probably better we got a...
Read moreI loved this little family-run hotel. They have a pool (though it's not terribly clean, but I still went in), air conditioning, really big rooms, and an on site restaurant with amazing and cheap food! It is thankfully in a fairly nice part of town and right around the corner from many restaraunts and a supermarket that hosts many taxis. It is a 3km walk from San Salvador's town center with its national church and old government building. No one spoke English if you're looking for that, but staff was there 24/7 and tried their best with communication.
In the end, the sheets were clean and the...
