Hotel Kal Nawi — Hotel in San Salvador

This small beautiful historical hotel has it all. The staff was absolutely amazing. They answered all my questions and need. Don't be fooled from the outside. They have cameras all over the hotel to guarantee your safety. The location is not bad at all, just hidden but located on the main road that leads you to all the great places you'd like to visit in the capital. I will be coming back to this hotel. Was the best and I had an awesome experience.

Here are some of the things that maybe helpful to you, if you decide to stay;

Staff - They will do it all. I asked if he could clean the pool so I could go for a swim, (note: it had just finished raining, they had cleaned it in the morning) the young man up front got up that very moment and had that pool ready for me to swim in within 15 mins top, along with giving me a tour of the area.

Food - Breakfast is included with stay, simple, delicious to with a cup of coffee and a great view. As for the restaurant in the hotel it was closed during my stay. So I utilize HUGO an app like UBEREATS/BITE/WAITR. You can also ask up front for suggest

Parking - They have a private parking through the gates where the vehicle will be safe inside the hotel and accessible to you, not to the public.

Dirty Clothes - Ask the front desk and they will have room service take your clothes to wash and will be back in your room folded on your bed for just a small fee.

Cleanliness - Everything was clean, from the pool, the gym room (only a treadmill and an elliptical ), hallway and rooms.

AC - in your room you can set the ac unit the temp...

I stayed in La Porta plaza hotel for 3 nights as I stayed in San Salvador as a base for exploring El Salvador.||||The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was tasty. My room was quiet and located next to a garden which had a lovely view.||The room had a large lcd TV with many channels, quiet air conditioner, fridge, and the bathroom/shower worked great.||||The location is very convenient as there was lots of food nearby in walking distance - street vendors and fast food such as McDonald's and Wendy's.||||The hotel is a great value for the price and I highly recommend staying here. I would stay here again if I visit...

Das Hotel liegt in einer Seitenstrasse in San Salvador, in absoluter Gehnähe befinden sich einige Straßenstände und Fast Food-Lokale sowie ein bekanntes Monument. Beim Eingang selbst gibt es nur die kleine Rezeption, die eher an einen Tresen erinnert. Die Zimmer selbst liegen, relativ geschützt (Wächter, Zaun, Stromzaun) einen bis zwei Stockwerke höher - kein Lift!||Die Zimmer selbst sind ordentlich, mehr aber auch nicht, Luxus ist hier keiner zu erwarten. Insbesondere bei den Toiletten Obacht, diese neigen dazu, manchmal nicht wirklich gut ihren Job zu tun.||Im "öffentlichen Bereich" sind einige Tische, bei denen auch das Frühstück serviert wird. Kommt man hier etwas zu spät, dann gibt es leider nur mehr wenige Reste (später als 9.00 Uhr ist nicht empfehlenswert). Neben dem Bereich ist auch die Hotelbar, die allerdings nur leere Flaschen von Hochprozentigem hatte. Im Hotel selbst gibt es noch große Külschränke mit einheimischen Bieren, sollte zufällig ein Angestellter anwesend sein, so kann dieser dies bringen. Angesichts oft stundenlanger Abwesenheit der Zuständigen habe ich irgendwann selbst die Getränke geholt und an der Rezeption bezahlt. Dies ist wahrlich ärgerlich, dies kann auch am Abend passieren, wenn man eine Kleinigkeit essen möchte.||Der Pool im Hotel ist eher kalt, da unbeheizt. Leider wird dieser auch nicht besonders sorgfältig gepflegt, erst nach einiger Zeit wurde, nachdem unser Bad vorbei war, die Reinigungspumpe eingeschaltet.||Pluspunkte sind das gut funktionierende WLAN und die effektive Klimaanlage.||Negativ noch die sehr hellhörigen Fenster und die Tatsache, daß man uns -gegen Gebühr!- einen tragbaren (!!) Hotelsafe gegeben hat. Dies ist ja dann eher weniger geeignet.||Insgesamt ok, wenn man etwas sparen möchte, mehr aber auch nicht. Achtung! Spanisch sollte ein bißchen vorhanden sein, praktisch niemand spricht ernsthaft...
