A Tropical Escape at the Mediterraneo Hotel
I recently spent 10 days at the Hotel Mediterraneo and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in a lush, tropical setting, this boutique property offers a relaxing escape with all the comforts of a well-managed destination.
The service was consistently excellent, with staff members who were not only attentive but genuinely warm and welcoming. The hotel’s culinary offerings stood out — featuring a wide range of both traditional Salvadoran and international dishes. A personal favorite was the high-protein Salvadoran breakfast: hearty, flavorful, and beautifully prepared each morning.
One of the highlights of my stay was the view from my Executive suite. By day, I enjoyed a sweeping view of the nearby volcano; by night, I sipped wine on the balcony while taking in the twinkling lights of downtown — all accompanied by a refreshing evening breeze.
The hotel's location is also a major plus. Surrounded by restaurants, beer pubs, and situated near the business district, it’s ideal for both leisure and work-related travel.
I give the Hotel Mediterraneo a solid 4-star rating and would gladly return for...
Read moreI went to El Salvador with my family. This place is nice and the staff so friendly. I rent a room for four with three beds, the bedroom was small but the people that work in this hotel makes you feel so special every day. Breakfast is included in the rate. The hotel has a nice pool that is clean. My kids and husband love this place. We liked that the hotel has restaurant inside, you can order food any time and they will serve it either by the garden area or they will bring the food to your room if you requested. They clean the room everyday and the bedding is changed everyday. The location is perfect, it is close to a mall and several restaurant. It is in a safe area, my husband and I went for a walk and we felt safe all the time. I highly recommends this hotel. Price is reasonable and they are willing to give a discount if you stay several days. We stay 9 days and they gave us a huge discount. Without a doubt I will be back...
Read moreAll international 5 stars hotels being fully booked during my last stay in San Salvador, I choose this one. And it happened to be very good!||The room confort is not luxurious but more than acceptable. The hotel is very clean and is very well located, in one of the safest area of San Salvador city.||The restaurant is also quite good and the whole staff very serviceable.||||But clearly the greatest asset of this hotel is its nice garden. It makes it a very confortable place for long stays.||||A minor minus point: they tend to fill standard rooms with 2 or 3 beddings (they also accomodate families). Ask for their removal or you'll be crowded.||||Of interest for business trips:||- the hotel has two meeting rooms that they lend guests for the price of the coffee). One can accomodate 10 people, the biggest one much more than that.||- Free WIFI connectivity works ok(for El Salvador) and is reachable everywhere...
