We decided to spend a different 1st of May, routine being that of celebrating 2-3 days with our best friends at our place or theirs. This year they couldn´t make it, so we headed to Haapsalu, a new destination to us. Karja Tented Campsite proved to be as good as it can get value for money-wise. 70 euros for two nights/two persons; even if the place looks a bit shaggy, our room was tidy, spacious and equipped with a tiny bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. There is a bicycle shop downstairs which also serves as a bicycle rental shop.||||Backyard or inner court is a camping site during summer. Now it was empty, and we were the only guests. Pretty funny; a Spring festival for two. Speaking of festivals, if you should want to visit Haapsalu during the annual August Blues happening, this is one of the best places to stay, since it´s a stone throw away from the Episcopal castle ruins, the venue for the said happening. Read morePlace is quit nice, room where we stayed was small but cozy, but it was on that side of house where sun is shining inside all Day. Whe we arrive in the evening it was soooo hot in the room and also when we leftq next Day around 11:00 it was already very Hot inside because outside was 26c°. And there was only very small one window which u can open. But there was cups for morning Coffee and also thing which boil water. Place was nice. We booked room in that same Day when we arrive i called and after 5minutes we got the room....
Read moreThe location is really good, in the main old city area. But because of that you have to be aware that in summer time you hear a lot of bar etc noices for your room if you try to open window. Talking about windows, we had really small window, big windows did not opened. We stayed there with really warm weather and our room was like sauna it was really hard to enjoy. Also negative was a bathroom, when showering the bathroom turned out a pool, cause water went down to train so slowly, a lot of water...
