even though we had a renovated room, the photo didn't reflect the reality (there's a carpet not a hard wood floor in the superior room) they claim to be allergy friendly - that is only true to a certain amount. There is some lactosefree milk but as they just put the glutenfree bread on the buffet (notabene open in its packaging next to the normal bread, which is not at all ok for an allergic as the glutenfree good gets contaminated) there might be no bread left for those guests who medically would need it as others just take it incompetent staff e.g. no solution or suggestion was made upon the problem with no more glutenfree bread - receptionist checked with breakfast staff, but couldn't even apologize & only silently left the restaurant again, he checked-out other people while talking to me (even though I was there first), not telling us that the massage has to be paid in cash right after it (seems as the therapist only "rents" the room and not that this is a service of the hotel), communication in generall - e.g.telling us that there are bathrobes to rent (2.5€ for one) at the spa reception but not telling us that they are closed breakfast was awful - not especially in its variety but in its quality e.g. Canned fruit salad, sweet (?) scrambled eggs, burnt bacon, not sold donuts from the day before are "reused" at the breakfast buffet not properly cleaned room (disgusting toilet, dusty & more than one black hair on our towels, disgusting old shower curtain even though the bath was renovated) uncomfortable bed - very soft top mattress booked a room with a view - wouldn't say that facing to a street & building is...
Read moreMany people have praised the breakfast but it was OK, at best. Bacon was soggy, scrambled eggs were dry and bland, boiled egg was almost blueish as it was seriously overcooked. Bread dry, ham and cheese selection was OK but not the best options one can find in any local store. Juice was not real juice and coffee was also below average. Not the worst breakfast i have ever seen in a hotel but cannot compare to what other similar-priced hotels in the area have. Morning sauna is a good bonus but on 4 morning in a row the temperature in the sauna was nowhere near what it is supposed to be ( and is advertised on the sauna door). If the place opens at 07:30, I would expect it to be up to standard by then. I'm sure the temperature was fine an hour later. Room had an AC unit but it was broken - at least i could not turn it on. Staff was OK but also, not as good as in other hotels in the area. Only one girl in the reception actually greeted me every time i passed their desk. The room itself was also OK but nothing more - really low water pressure in shower, stained mattresses, very small TV ( not a problem but still, similar-priced places have newer screens and more entertainment available ), no mini-fridge available... The whole place had a vibe of a significantly cheaper place than it is in reality. For sure not a bad hotel per say but would recommend any 3-star place in the vicinity at almost the...
Read moreGood hotel with several unexpected issues
the superior-room design is superb, warm and nordic in the same time, and the lightning layout is excellent. very silent room. comfortable bed. blackout curtains. positon is perfect, close to city center, but also to a supermarket, main bus station and taxi stop. +/- staff is young, some very young... they try to help but they are far from being professional as I would expect from this hotel category... Anyway I appreciated how the manager answered to my complaints about room cleanliness.
I found several hairs over the mattress. wifi signal was poor in my room, I had to use phone as hotspot. breakfast is varied but low quality, I would prefer less stuff with better quality. long corridors seems like the ones of a prison or a...
