This hotel in Bole, close to the airport, is a little hidden away in a side street.|When I arrived, they didn't know about my booking, and only after I proved it did they let me check in.|They kept my passport until the next morning and gave me a temporary room, even though I had booked 2 months earlier and had specifically agreed my arrival time with the hotel management.|The temporary room had torn curtains, was dusty and the bathroom had probably not been cleaned for a long time (there were thick deposits and cockroaches in the toilet). So I had to sleep there for 1.5 hours and couldn't shower (and no towel either, although I had brought my own).|I was so annoyed that I forgot my power adapter in the room, but it was not returned to me.|Quite annoyed about this, I confronted the astonished porter, who unfortunately spoke very little English. I was promised that I would get a new room when I returned from my day trip.|This is what happened, as you can see in the pictures. Here too, not everything was ideal (among other things, a cockroach crawled out of the bed, the WiFi crashed on my floor on the second day, the WiFi passwords given to me did not match the ones at reception).|I also found the loud background very disturbing, which made it difficult for me to fall asleep (especially loud shouts in the stairwell).|Ultimately, it was acceptable for short stays due to the low price and the location.||The porter was at least kind enough to call me a cheap taxi (around 350 Birr), which was very helpful given that I was leaving at night.||In summary: There is still work to be done on fundamental things here in order to improve the quality in...
