I stayed in this hotel for 23 days. Sorry to say I had a bad experience all along. The price is relatively affordable. The hotel have a policy of not to bring food or drink including water to the hotel. The bar and the restaurant is terribly managed they don't have ICE while selling hard liquor, Club soda (አምቦ ውሃ) is out of stock for days. Let me share you what happened to me. in my stay. I had a food poising problem I asked the concierges to send me club soda (አምቦ ውሃ) but told they don't have it. That is when I go out to buy from a store closed by, after getting a permission from the front desk to do so. The shop which I bought the club soda take a deposit of $100 for the bottles. After two days I returne the bottles and get my deposit back. To my surprised the gourd who saw me carrying the two bottles stopped me in the middle of the street while I took a ride, to ask me what I did to the bottles? and accused me of stilling a bottle from the hotel with out giving me a chance to explain. . I wish if he asked me when I left the hotel I could have telling him why. This was the most embarrassing event in my life, to be suspected as a criminal in the middle of the street. The second incident was when my sister come to visited me with here children's she was told kids can't get in to the building. They don't like kids. they discriminant openly. The third incident is while I was sick I asked my sister to bring me OAT mill since the hotel restaurant doesn't have non, but told she can't bring food to the hotel. You might pay for the room, but the hotel contrail the room. BAD BAD...
Read moreRacist staff. Bad rules. Terrible coffee. First of all, they wanted to charge me more money because I am white. But my friends had booked the room and paid already, so I refused and just went to my room. Charging me more based on my color, country, etc is nothing less than racism. Automatic zero stars if possible. I brought a bottle of wine from France to dubai and finally Ethiopia. When I arrived with it, they said it was against the rules. And made me keep it at the desk! They said that because they sell alcohol I can't have my own. Is this a nightclub or hotel? Am I required to only eat food here too? Ludicrous. The wine in Ethiopia is horrible and I'm sure it's worse at this hotel. For Breakfast they served me brewed cheap coffee. Ethiopia has Buna all over the country. It's hard not to find it. It's more common than a Starbucks in Seattle. Yet they serve terrible brewed coffee instead. I couldn't even drink it. The rooms face a busy road. Why? The view behind is better and quieter. Street dogs bark all night long right in front of the hotel. The security only does something when asked. I had to bear it for hours and asked twice to the desk. They chased them off, but they returned. This needs to be addressed. Sleep is important. Wifi is only available in the cafe, and you must buy to be here. That is lame. Rooms are clean. Staff is trustworthy. They won't steal from your room. Water and power is generally on and they have hot water. If not for the racism that is somehow acceptable in this country, I would give 2 or 3 stars. But I would generally avoid...
Read moreThis hotel looks nice with the quiet appearance but the staffs are not polite and responsible.. in the café we ordered a Club sandwich and waited for 40 minutes then the waitress came and said the power has gone and so there is no chips with the sandwich. We requested to find other way to fix it or reduce the price if French fries are not going to be included.. they just said no and want full money for the inflicted product. The staff said we can just cancel and leave if not to pay full for the sandwich without...
