This is a beautiful hotel and is very clean. The employees are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a delight - great coffee. The room had a balcony and the roof was a great spot to view the sunset and look at the stars. The hotel is also perfectly situated for a walk to the main UNESCO site and the famous St. George’s Church. That being said, the number of mosquitos in the room was out of control, dozens. There are no screens on the windows and no mosquito nets on the bed - you can count on mosquitos buzzing in your ears all night long and, if you are able to sleep, waking up to a number of bites. Read moreThe trip was amazing & the hotel had great service. The most exceptional part of both the trip as well as the hotel was our lovely & sweet guide Mr Etsub - Friesibhat or otherwise as he called himself Mr Happy. Staff very friendly and helpful; they organized a guide and transportation for a tour of the rock-hewn churches. The only piece that was disappointing was the transportation fee to the churches: 500 birr for what ended up being a fairly short distance. For that price, one would also expect a ride back, but our guide had us walk back. All in all, however, a positive experience and I would definitely recommend...
