The location was perfect, within walking distance of major attractions.

I had a wonderful stay at Merkeza Guesthouse in Lalibela for a week and was thoroughly impressed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the hospitality was truly heartwarming. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always greeting guests with a smile and making sure every need was met. A special thanks to Teddy, who handled my booking. He was incredibly helpful and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I really appreciated his attention to detail and kindness throughout. Overall, a wonderful experience that set a high standard for comfort... Highly recommend Merkeza Guesthouse to anyone...

We booked our stay last minute with Teddy at Merkeza Guesthouse for 5 days in Lalibela. Everything from the room, to the company, to the service, to the breakfast in the cozy breakfast nook in the morning was wonderful!! Teddy managed to get us a cheap tour guide for exploring the churches as well as a private car (for cheap) to travel onward to the north where bus service is limited. This room was my favorite place we stayed in our entire month in Ethiopia. Not only was it super comfortable, it was quiet, and an easy walk to all the attractions in town. Right next door is my fave restaurant in Lalibela too! Perfect for couples -- I highly recommend staying with Teddy...
