The room was ok, modern looking with a nice large old style deep framed window. But the bathroom was odd, looking like something from an institution in the 1980's, with silverfish running on the floor. The beds were ok to sleep in, but it is not a double bed, and everything is somehow very slippery, so just by lying in bed watching tv the beds slipped apart and the bedding matress halfway onto the floor. Quite odd, as it is easily fixable to strain single beds together as a double. The decorations overall were a bit mismatched, nice old photos in the hallway, combined with some kind of ugly rough plastic mat, for example. Not quite what you expect in a hotel in this price range. Something else that was quite odd was that they charge for the use of robs and slippers, I have never experienced this in a spa hotel, as well as they charge quite a lot for parking, that is pretty limited. As it was a late booking with only a few day's notice there were no spa treatments availlable. The pool bar was also closed. The changing area in the spa section was very dated, worn, with cracked tiles and a bit dirty. The shower area and saunas were fine, if you don't count the toilet's floor covered in pee. The pool area as not appealing, the natural stone wall was nice but the jacuzzis were lukewarm, while I prefere 38-39°. A lot of cracked tiles and wear in this area as well. I thought it would be relaxing in the evening, but even quite late there were mostly young children playing. So very noisy. The breakfast was nice and plentyful, with a very good selection of all kinds of food. So, an ok experience, but nowhere near what they are marketing or what you would expect to get...
Read moreI spent two nights in the luxury suite vacation home. The suite was spacious, quiet and decently clean, althoug the shower room was a bit run down. I'm glad they allowed pets (with extra charge).||Some coffee and tea were available for the customers in the kitchen. For a luxury suite, there could have been some more amenities in the room, such as milk to be used with the coffee.||The spa was okay, but not too large: one big pool, a kids' pool, a small cold/icy pool and some hot tubs. Two saunas in the female side: a steam sauna and a tradtional Finnish sauna. There had been what looked like recent-ish renovations.||One minus was the hassle in the breakfast room. The breakfast was full of people, with a long line to the only main buffet lineup everyone used. Seemed like there could be a need for another lineup. The breakfast room was also a bit noisy. It's located near the reception, where there are also another restaurant and a kiosk. This area could perhaps be made more calm: people come there to relax, but the reception and breakfast room are now a bit stressful.||In the luxury suite vacation home, you also were required to take the rubbish out, wash your dishes and gather the towels and the sheets to the shower room floor when you left the resort. This might be a specialty that applies only to the vacation home type of rooms but not to the hotel rooms. Anyhow, for a luxury suite, it'd also be nice if this wasn't the customers' responsibility. Perhaps it's also on me for not having read the conditions clearly, as this came as a bit of a surprise to me on the day we were leaving and then I was in a hurry to...

I have been here 3 times on buisness trips, each time oppupying a suite in the tower behind the hotel building, and this was my 3rd and also final time. The quality has seen a steep decline since my last visit . Today, it is more or less like the British comedy series - only not funny.
Good things: The spa and sauna, and good WiFi. And the beds are quite decent. Also, a great view over the lake.
Bad things: Pretty much everything else.Breakfast and lunch was of Hostel quality, and NOT what you'd expect from an establishment, claiming to be a good hotel. I have never before been in a "suite" with no kettle and powder coffee/teabags to start the day. The absence of ice machines was at least compensated by the friendly staff at the in-house pizza restaurant - whose pizzas were appalingly salty and greasy. And quality of the food offered equals that of the effort put into cleaning the rooms.
Room cleaning was a joke - no refuelling of soap dispensers, no actual cleaning, just making the beds. This, I could have done myself. To top things off, a refund was not possible, when I was called to the north of Finland, and had to negociate the cancelling of two further nights. No dice.
All in all: A nice hotel, if you are used to Hostels and camping sites. For a professional traveller, avoid at all costs, sleep in your car and eat at McDonalds instead. It will be cleaner, and the food...
