The location of the hotel was fantastic, easy ski in ski out. The staff were very kind & helpful, really polite and courteous.
The dinner menu was however very disappointing and unfortunately it made our stay less enjoyable. Firstly the food was cooked to a good standard, our issue was not with the quality, it was simply about the variety.
If you were a vegetarian you would definitely struggle. There was always a fish choice then the other choice was either a cooked meat or cheese. It was also served with either potatoes & 1 choice of veg. There was pre mixed salad every night. This isn't a buffet, it's a set menu that you serve yourself. Unfortunately we found ourselves eating out most nights.
We didn't raise this this at the hotel during our stay, on the grounds I felt there wasn't anything they could do; buffets in our experience usually offer a choice of at least 3 different main courses. There simply isn't room in the restaurant for them to serve that variety of food. Therefore I felt it was impossible for them to meet my expectations. I think they should change the advertisement of their restaurant to set menu rather than buffet, to best reflect their offering.
Drinks are around €9 for a beer / €6 for a wine - not any different from anywhere else in the resort.
The bedroom itself was spacious and warm, ideally I'd like to see a kettle and tea/coffee, though to clarify it doesn't state this should be provided, but it us convenient to have.
The bathroom was very small, you could only fit 1 person in there just about. The shower height is for someone of 5ft. I had to hunch over every time i wanted to wash my hair. The door kept being left open on the balcony by the cleaners, we were on the bottom floor.
Overall we probably would stay here again but on a self catering stay only. It's mainly the dinner that let...
Read moreI've stayed here many times and every year since Vacance Blue took over. Until recently it has been very good but this time things have gone down hill significantly. The management team have obviously changed and the restaurant, which used to be very good, is clearly struggling. They now apply a strict time table and open at 7:00PM which would be OK but on the last two nights on entering the restaurant they clearly weren't ready so you did not know what food was going to be available(it's a buffet) and the selection is much reduced from previous years. The staff seem overworked and too often the buffet dishes are empty waiting to be re-filled. When speaking to the staff they are, shall we say, not as friendly as one might expect. Despite being very busy they allow some guests to book tables so that large tables remain empty, and unusable, meaning guests who want to eat have to go to the dark, dreary second floor. Not really acceptable or fair on the guests who have turned up ready to dine. If guests want a large table turn up at 7:00 and you can have it. Very disappointed especially as it used t be so very, very good. I suspect that we will no have to eat out a coupe of times to get a decent meal served well, not how it should be on half board. E-mailed before arrival to book a parking place but on arrival was told that it hadn't been done even though I had an e-mail confirming it. On arrival I was told that my room would be ready at 1:00 PM but had to wait until 4:00 apparently because of "an issue2. To be fair the reception staff were very embarrassed but this but it shouldn't...
Read moreFantastic welcome from the moment you walk in, deceptive as we walked in via the underground car park and your not sure what to expect then it opens up into a nice warm, light clean reception with stunning views of the slopes, my wife and I popped over for a few days snowboarding and booked this through a package holiday. ||The food was spot on, so much choice in both evenings and breakfasts, brilliant quality. The staff cannot do enough for you. My wife is vegan and once the staff knew they would go out of their way to ensure she had something that was fresh. With the chef making her own dish on the evenings, plenty of options with a fresh continental and cooked in the morning, with the same large choice in the evening I ha of hot and cold with a fresh desert area and what seems a different variety of crepes. Ice cream, chocolate fountains. ||The hotel is clean, modern perfect location on the slope and with the village set up nearby. We took advantage of the late sun most evenings after a day in the slopes and watched it go down on there huge terrace. The ski room is clean cluttered free and the lockers are dry, modern and leaves you a 15 yard walk to the hotel side door right onto the slope||Our room was upgraded on our arrival so we had a slope facing room with a little balcony which was a nice added extra. ||I wasn’t sure what to expect. It pleasantly surprised and will definitely be returning here and will look to bring our young girls. We had a fantastic time and didn’t want to leave. Very happy we’ve found a little gem in a...
