Stayed with 2 kids (3 and 11) in 2+cabin. Cabin = OK for kids, not OK for adults (cabin is located in the hallway, midway between big room and toilet/bathrooms).||||Positive:||- Enough room for family of 4||- Warm water always available (not always the case in French hotels)||- Even with very little snow - ski in/ski out without problems||- Small supermarket only 100m away||- Enough kitchen appliances for average user||- Plenty of heaters to dry wet clothes||- Free basic wifi is available and is working (max. 5 devices per accommodation)||||Negative:||- Ski room is not heated at all. If you leave your ski's covered in snow and ice - you'll find them in exactly the same state next morning.||- Very (VERY!) hard mattresses. I never imagined they could be this hard. You get used to them eventually, but still.||- Maintenance is somewhat neglected, some things don't work anymore (heater control losing contact, bath plug not moving as supposed, door locks worn out - daughter closed herself and panicked, the door didn't open from inside :)||||Important notes:||- There's a possibility to freely load/unload stuff inside the underground garage (with 2 slow elevators to your rooms nearby), even if you didn't book a spot in the garage.||- There's enough free parking space in short walking distance (down) from hotel.||- Skilocker is not heated, so everybody takes their skiboots upstairs and just leaves them in front of the room door.||- There's no skilift directly near hotel. You have to either walk to La Bruyere (big 'egg' lift) for 200m or ski down (blue + green piste) to lower Reberty/Doron lifts.||- If you're with small kids going for ski lessons - Piou-Piou of ESF is also near La Bruyere (200m walk, more or less horizontal), so you'll need to either sleigh the kids there or pull them on their ski's. Could be tough for grandma, if you take one with you :)||There are 2 accommodations directly near Bruyere lift and ski kindergarten: Les Valmonts (directly next) and slightly higher L'Adonis.||- No stove in the rooms, only microwave with grill option.||- Center of Les Menuires (La Croisette) is about 15 minutes walk away.||- All electric plugs are with French extra ground pin sticking out - so check that your adapters (with round plugs)...
Read moreNegatives: we are currently staying here and the ventilation is terrible. Our whole apartment smells like cigarettes due to someone smoking in the room below us. We have complained twice and the receptionists shared that this is a known problem and there isn’t much they can do- even though this is supposedly a smoke free residence. They offered to put us in a smaller apartment but hinted that the apartment also has the same issue. There are signes all over the hotel saying that smoking is not permitted yet the receptionist didn’t do anything about the smokers besides telling them to stop which they didn’t!
We would never have rented this place knowing we would be inhaling second hand smoke the whole time. We do not recommend staying here and would expect some sort of compensation in return for this horrible experience. Our family also could only check into their room at 6 Pm!!! When check in is supposed go be earlier…
Positives: The location is great and apartment sizes...
Read moreMy son and I stayed in one bed apartment - last week Jan 2020.||||Couldn’t fault the apartment - clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen is cramped and as no work space to prepare food I would imagine this would be a pain but we ate out every night.||||Bakery very close by so went every morning for bread and crossiants although they will deliver to door if you want.||||Supermarket close by too.||||Rented skis next door at Intersport Bruyers 2 - very helpful and hot great deal online.||||Be aware that apartment reception closed during lunch so although we arrived a lunchtime thinking we could get in afternoon ski we couldn’t get into apartment until after 2pm and had to wait around for 2 hours as nowhere to leave bags etc.||||Like everyone else took boots to room overnight to dry as no heating in boot/ski store room.||||Would definitely recommend - perfect for ski in/out as literally on easy green or blue - in morning ski down to...
