La Parenthèse Envoûtée — Hotel in Amiens

Modern, chic suite / apartment about 5/10 minutes from the town centre, lovely and quiet, but does look a little rough. Great for a short stop over but not for a longer stay. Train station 5 minute walk, we drove and there is no parking nearby except pay and display bays which is not great, however, it was Bastille day so parking free for the day. Boulangerie a couple of minutes away and a selection of mini super markets all within a short walk. The suite, African themed came with clarins products, lovely touch, the mini bar / fridge is stocked with some drinks and food for you to leave them some money in return. Tassimo coffee maker and short supply of tea, coffee and local shops didn't stock any replacements so ended up buying a kettle as needed more than two cups of tea. Lovely jacuzzi, spa bath and walk in rain shower. Cupboard space is limited, hairdryer but no iron hence great for a stopover. There are no windows so for some it will feel claustrophobic, albeit it is spacious, you are in the basement of converted barracks, very clean and neat. No English channels on the TV, didn't bother me as don't watch it but boyfriend a bit disappointed. Great experience but wouldn't stay again as there are lots more places to try. Liked Amiens itself and would try a more traditional hotel next time...

Amiens is not a usual tourist town to Visit and so the choice of hotels is a little limited. However, this boutique hotel is a hidden gem. The rooms are situated in the basement of a converted barracks. The location is approximately 5 minutes walk from the railway station and Perret Towers. This is the same Mr. Perret who designed Le Havre.||||The instructions provided to us were very clear and all the codes to the gates worked well. On arrival, we were shown to our rooms. The finish is excellent and the amenities were first class. We stayed in the Pigalle room, which was a great deal of fun. The rooms are in the basement and our room did not have a window which may bother some but the air con and air circulation worked well. A nice selection of tea and coffee was provided free of charge. The mini bar was well stocked although there is a Carrefour Express 1 minute walk from the hotel. Rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. We did not use the Jacuzzi but wish we had!||||The hotel does not have staff on a 24-hour basis and so and we were made fully aware of this. This is a little strange when leaving but again it was fine. ||||All in all a great...

Effectivement, "la parenthèse envoûtée" porte si bien son nom.

Ce fut un moment hors du temps, si féerique, avec ce mur végétal, la télé pouvant se décaler afin de regarder un film d'où l'on souhaite. Tout était parfait, comme nous le souhaitions.

Vous avez fait de cet endroit un petit paradis sur terre.

Petit bémol du coup,pour la fuite du pommeau de la balneo, surtout pour vous.. dommage que personne ne vous ai prévenu avant.. 🙁. J'espère que vous réussirez à réparer ça afin que personne n'abîme ce splendide endroit... ✨🫶🏼

Le repas était très très bon, en bonne quantité également. Le poisson un poil trop cuit, mais je pense que c'est dû au fait de le réchauffer au micro onde pour qu'il soit bien chaud, ça a du le recuire encore. Mais ça vous n'y pouvait rien. Alors n'en tenez pas rigueur. C'est juste pour vous faire le point après cette parenthèse féerique. ♥️

Et pour la douche, les jets nous ne nous en sommes ps servit car sinon on allait inonder la suite, ça aurait peut être été plus simple de placer la colonne, côté mur, vers la paroi? Afin d'éviter potentiellement une inondation 🤣.

Nous avons profiter d'être parfaitement placer pour aller manger des churros sur le marché de noël. Et profiter de cette magie encore présente. Tout ce que vous avez choisi, l'emplacement, la décoration, les goûts, les ambiances, tout est parfait. Sincèrement soyez fier tout les deux de l'investissement physique et financier que vous y avez mit. Je suis persuadée que vous y avez mis tout votre amour, et votre cœur à satisfaire vos convives et cela se ressent.

Ps : un jour, permettez vous à vous aussi, une parenthèse envoûtée hors du temps, parce qu'il n'y a ps de raison que vous non plus vous ne puissiez pas profiter de votre beau bébé !
