Have stayed here twice now for the SIPAC event that occurs every two years in Amiens. It is a decent choice for my work group.
For access to the city centre, the hotel is well located and there is also access to the rail station opposite if you wanted to explore further afield.
Rooms are very comfortable; not huge but the shower is great, the bed comfortable and it's a nice space for relaxing. It's not the most sound-proofed hotel, although despite having a room that overlooked the railway it never kept me awake. However, on my floor we did have families that had wild children who slammed doors and made a noise, but that is just one of those things I suppose. TV in the room doesn't have loads of English-speaking options (I don't speak French) but that's my problem to be fair. here are bio coffee-making facilities in the rooms.
I think the hotel is decent value - we paid €75 for a double room per night.
The hotel is fresh, funky and relaxing. The reception/bar area is good; the staff are all friendly and helpful, and although the bar is small, it serves a good selection of drinks including Grimbergen and a 9% triple on tap... the beers aren't cheap though, roughly €8 per 50cl.
They also do a light menu - the Moxy Burger is incredible, like a steak tartare in a bun. Think it's about €17-18 so not the cheapest but very tasty.
We didn't take the breakfast this time because it's a cold option, continental-style and quite expensive.
There is parking opposite in the multi-storey, although head height is limited to 1.8m so no vans or larger vehicles. There is street parking in the adjacent streets but this is very much a lottery as to what is available (it's all controlled via a parking app that is very easy to use).
There are mini markets and a supermarket (Match) within 100m, plus lots of takeaways, patisseries and eateries within just a few minutes walk. You can also get down to the river in 5-10 mins where there are some nice bars in the old quarter near...

Longer: I stayed here for work a couple days, meaning I didn’t have a choice, they just booked me at this hotel hence a very unbiased review.
So you find yourself in Amiens and you’re looking for a place to stay. This is not it.
Ultimately the staff was very friendly and accommodating for the most part. But you don’t book a hotel exclusively based on how good the staff is… you’re curious about the rooms and everything else.
You walk in, you’re greeted by the staff. They’ll tell you you’re rooms not ready. And you end up waiting for 5 hours. But fear not. There’s a lovely patio where you can hang and kill 5 hours. You might even order some drinks from the decently priced hotel bar while you figure out what to do for 5 hours.
The bed is about as soft as a slab of concrete and the pillows are as flat/soft as a napkin.
The rooms are small. Some effort has been made by a designer at some point to make it look cool, but mostly just comes off as tacky. The walls are paper thin. So if there are people outside the hotel, you will hear every word they say.
The location is pretty good. There’s a bunch of restaurants and bars all within walking distance.
But hey! At least the wifi is fast! I’ll leave it at that.
So here’s how I averaged the stars in my review:
Room: 2. WiFi: 4 Staff: 2. Amenities: 1. Location: 3. Gym: N/A (didn’t use it). Vibe:...
Read moreUnreliable hotel! They cancelled our confirmed booking (on their own website!) on the day of arrival! They even sent us the email to plan our stay the day before!! The people at the reception said we had no booking, when i showed them our confirmation email and booking number they said our booking was cancelled via email on the day of arrival!! This left us with no hotel on the busiest day of the year (the antique market) they told us to go to the ibis, we were shocked and looked for other hotels but everything was full!! Never ever booking at the moxy again, they ruined our trip and we were forced to stay at a crazy expensive hotel for 3 times what we had reserved the moxy for… avoid because they are...
