Maison d'en bas des Seigneurs: Chambres d'hôtes au calme avec spa et sauna proche Lourmarin, Luberon, Vaucluse en Provence — Hotel in Apt

The old house, rooms and spa area is equipped with stylish furniture and it‘s visible that a certain effort was made for renovation. Nevertheless, the elegant atmosphere and comfort presented in the pictures online is not really reflected in reality or maybe not shown completely as it should be finally (?), e.g. keychains, Wi-Fi password, missing room information, no towels for spa or possibility to lay down in the spa. Ongoing construction work is also still visible in the house, therefore it‘s a bit dusty almost everywhere. The staff is very engaged, but a certain professionalism is unfortunately missing. The breakfast included a lot of local products (marmalade, honey, bread), but presentation of the food could be improved. The main point why the stay was only ok is the value for the money. We stayed at 9 locations within our 2 weeks round trip in France (Provence & Côte d’Azur) and this location was the most disappointing considering what you get for the price per night. Cucuron is an exquisite little village with lovely historic walks, little shops and quality food adventures. Maison d'en bas des Seigneurs was very comfortable with well appointed, spacious rooms, excellent breakfast, lunch or dinner options available through Moris restaurant. Our host Yannis was very helpful and encouraged us to attend a local festival when we were there which was very special. The spa and sauna option was a nice surprise and much appreciated after a long trip, with gowns and slippers provided which was a nice...

What an incredible stay. The spa is surreal. The rooms are clean and lovely. The service is wonderful.

The location is tranquil and well worth the effort of hauling up your luggage (since driving directly to the front of the hotel is not possible).

The restaurant is also delicious. Even if you don't eat there, you'll enjoy the smell of their food wafting into the courtyard.
