Hôtel Restaurant Campanile ARGENTEUIL — Hotel in Argenteuil

In one word, the hotel is a disaster. From the begining, the workers were disinterested. Then, the room, itison dirty, all stained, bathroom, toilet bowl wobbly, no brush, sink faucet wobbly, no bathtub, but a shower with tiles. The highlight of it all, on the first evening around 04:00, water started leaking from the ceiling as if from a faucet, whether from the fire system, or the installation, and that dripping lasted for the three days we were there. To be honest, they offered us to change the room, but since we were only coming to sleep, because we were in the city all day, we didn't want to be harassed. When we checked out of the hotel, we were charged the amount reduced by 50%. Now, I'm writing all this because of what happened afterwards. We thought it was a discount because of all the failures regarding the room, and then we got a notification that the hotel is trying to charge us through Booking, be careful now - THE FULL AMOUNT + what we already paid when checking out!!! So not a discount, but 50% more than the amount we reserved! Fortunately, we recorded and photographed everything and have it documented! Ok, if you advertise with "airconditioned rooms" then I expect a fully functioning airconditioning. When i entered the hotel after a long day of work and checked in they did not mention anything about it. Only after a complaint from my end (outside temp was 28 degrees, room temp 34...) They admitted that the airco would be out of order for a 'significant time'. As i stay in hotels quite often, i like my privacy. So after leaving my room to go for work I put the do not disturb sign on the room. When I returned housekeeping clearly went in nonetheless... The hotel is clearly a place for cheap trips for Asian people and not for business trips. It’s about 30-40 minutes with metro and bus from tthe center of Paris. I gave 2 stars because the rooms smell awefull, bathrooms are very dirty, No refrigerator in rooms and no airconditioning is working. The food is not unforgettable but it is nice. some staff are friendly but the ones who work in a restaurant could better don’t come and stay next to you and look at what and how much u are taking from the buffet every single time. Please keep a little distance from clients and learn to SMILE like this :😊😊😊😊😊😊 If you are being so rude to do that with your clients then please please use good deodorants if you don’t want us to vomit.
