The Stade Olympique Yves-du-Manoir, commonly known as Yves-du-Manoir Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Colombes, a suburb of Paris, France. Here are some key points about the stadium:

History: The stadium was initially built in 1907 and was known as Stade de Colombes. It was extensively renovated and expanded in the 1920s and was renamed in honour of Yves du Manoir, a French rugby player who died during World War I.

Significance: Yves-du-Manoir Stadium has a rich history and has hosted numerous significant sporting events, including football matches, rugby matches, and athletics competitions.

1924 Summer Olympics: One of the most notable events held at Yves-du-Manoir Stadium was the 1924 Summer Olympics. The stadium served as the main venue for the Olympic football tournament and also hosted the opening and closing ceremonies.

Football: The stadium has been the home ground for several football clubs, including Racing Club de France Football and the French national football team. It has also hosted matches for the French rugby union team.

Renovations: Over the years, Yves-du-Manoir Stadium has undergone various renovations to modernise its facilities and improve the spectator experience. However, its historic facade and architecture have been preserved.

Capacity: The stadium has a seating capacity of around 32,000 spectators, making it one of the largest stadiums in France.

Legacy: Yves-du-Manoir Stadium holds a special place in French sporting history and is considered a historic landmark. It hosts various sporting and cultural events, maintaining its significance in the community.

I came to Yves du manor stadium to watch field hockey at the Olympics. This place is full of history, en route to the stadium. You see pictures of the 1924 Olympics and 1938 FIFA world cup which is really nice to see. I like to see things in a historical context and this was a nice bridge between then and the Paris Olympics. The Yves du manor stadium was full of fans, energy and fun. I watched two hockey matches, I watched from two different places, one behind the goal, the other on the side so I got two different perspectives and both views were excellent. The stadium is easy to get to and it's only a 20 minute train ride from the centre of Paris. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, if you're in the Colombes area or paris in general and there's a rugby, football or hockey match, you'll enjoy your...

Stade Yves-du-Manoir is a unique venue for Paris 2024, as it is the only one will host Olympic events for the second time in its history. First opened in 1907, the stadium was renovated for the Paris 1924 Olympics, where it was utilised as the primary arena for the Games; it hosted the athletics, some of the cycling, some of the horse riding, gymnastics, tennis, some of the football, rugby, and two of the modern pentathlon events (running, fencing). The venue also hosted the final of the 1938 FIFA World Cup between Italy and Hungary (Italy prevailing 4-2 to win their second world title). Now used for rugby, football and athletic events, Stade Yves-du-Manoir will stage the hockey competition...

Watching field hockey at Yves du Manoir Stadium was a great experience. Although it's a bit far from Paris' city center, the grounds and stadium were well-kept and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the Olympic games from this venue, which added to the overall enjoyment of the event.
