We stayed at Les Grenadines in early April. It was very quiet, but the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Our double room was very comfortable and clean, but the balcony was small; just about room for two chairs. ||There was a good selection of continental breakfast, and although €10 per person might seem expensive, considering what you could eat for that price compared with the measly fare you can get for €6 in a local bar/restaurant it was well worth it. ||The wonderful sandy beach with crystal clear sea is only about 300m away. There are 4-5 beach bars there, but none open at this time of year. In fact not a lot was open. There is a small selection of shops and bars 800m along the coast to the west. But for decent shops and bars head east to the Cap d'Agde harbour which is about a 20 minute walk away. ||Agde railway station is a €15 taxi ride away and from there the shuttle bus to Beziers airport costs just €1.6. There are two bus routes from Agde station that run past the end of the road to the hotel.||We would recommend this hotel for couples definitely as it is so quiet. We could not fault the staff who were all friendly and...
Read moreFirst off the staff at this hotel are very friendly & helpful (although with very limited English). Unless you have a car it is difficult to get to-use either a taxi or the infrequent buses-the bus stops at the end of the street. There is no lift/elevator here so if you bags are heavy it is a task to get them to/from your room. The room itself is basic with a small bathroom/shower-and the bed was not very comfortable for my wife. The hotel has a swimming pool and is also a short walk to the beach. Wifi is very unreliable. This is the place to stay for a short stop or if you are a beach lover-there is not a great deal otherwise around and public transport is spasmodic. There are some cafe's at the end of the street but only one was open every day we were there. (We only came to to the area to visit our daughter whom was at a cooking...
Read moreSelected the hotel because 1) midway on our drive from Lyon to Barcelona, and 2) Pet friendly. The reviews on TripAdvisor gave us some confidence that it would be great, but actually it was a little disappointing. No elevator, room was somewhat smallish, as was the balcony (we had a "large double room with balcony") which overlooked the path to the beach. But probably the saddest part was the location - if all you wanted to do was go to the beach, it was great - but I now understand that from May-September dogs are not allowed on the beach. So with that we just wanted to explore the town - and that's quite a walk from the hotel to the marina where all the restaurants are. On the good side the parking was on-site and gated (everywhere, gates in...
