A great location off the central Monpazier square. The beautiful building has been beautifully updated by an Italian architect. The old wooden stair case is stunning, and the modern features work well with the old beauty of the building. We were in room 107, which was nice and clean, and long and thin, with a large bed and access to a table on the communal terrace and a small kitchenette and fridge in the room. This suited us well very well. This was their 'comfy' mid space category, if you want more space go for a 'spacey', or smaller is 'chic'. We had a 4 night stay, there was no house keeping in this time but they let you know that when you check in, and this was fine with us. The pool is a bonus. We were very grateful they had availability last minute as we had had a problem with the self catering villa we had booked elsewhere. Read moreBooked for 1 night in May . We arrived at 13:30 I knocked the door twice and could hear somebody behind the door. I then knocked again and a man came to the door. I told him I had made a reservation. He said maybe and went to check closing the door on me. He then came back and asked me to come back at 15:00 hours. He did not offer to take our cases so we put our luggage back into the car and got some lunch in the square. He was very abrupt and rude. When we did check in he was more polite .. the room was lovely, suited our needs and it was nice to relax by the pool. I would recommend this accommodation but it would have been a better experience if the host was more pleasant...
Read moreNice place, well situated just off the main square. Very attentive staff and adequate breakfast. Now the not so good points, firstly no safe in the room and no facility to hold/ store valuables. The hotel is not actually a hotel, given that they will not service the room daily and in our 7 night stay they only allowed us 2 services. Then the pool area, an unheated pool, seems like unless you stay in a poolside room you cannot use the sunbeds as they are positioned directly outside of the rooms and possession is everything! Overall a nice stay but they could do a few little things to improve the quality...
