A quaint little bistro set about a small comfortable stone courtyard with nice Jazz music softly playing. The service is very efficient. The problem was the food, while the name suggest hearty Périgord fare, its more progressive fusion. A melon gazpacho soup served in a jar and drunk through a straw was 1,5 stars. Another entrée was fried fish balls that was good a 4,0 stars. The porc with gnocchi was slightly over cooked but still 4,2 starts as the sauce was excellent. A fish dish served with polenta was also good, again the sauce was excellent a 4,0. Unfortunately we also had a fish with pomegranate dish that was tasteless and made my wife feel queasy the rest of the day a 0,0 stars. We were lucky to get a table even tho we walked in at 12noon, as obviously it’s a favourite with locals who had booked. We had the menu de midi @ €23 which was great value and beautifully presented, along with a 500cl carafe of house rose. The service was very nice, fast and friendly. The presentation was fabulous, the taste and everything outstanding level. We loved every single detail and I had one of my best experiences in France.
