So we managed to squeeze both tents in a corner with a little bit of grass but we still couldn't insert the tent nails in the rocky soil. Also, if you have a lightweight tent like we did you might damage the floor of your tent because of all the small rocks that are in the ground.||||Another great thing is that none of the pitches have any kind of chairs, benches or light or anything else. So if you're traveling by plane and can't bring your own, once you get out of your tent you'll have the pleasure of standing and relaxing on a dirt tent pitch.||||The cherry on top was that before we left in the tour, we agreed to store the suitcase at the camping. The owner charged us "only" 30 euros for the ten days and in the morning we left he reminded us that "we had to pay him". When we asked him that morning at 8:15 to unlock the door of the enclosure where the suitcase was he told us that he has things to do and we should come back at 8:30 (because the reception opens at 8:30 in the morning).||||In conclusion, we definitely won't be going back to this camping ever again. The owner is a cheap stingy man. It charges you for every little thing and even if he can't deliver, he won't return your money. The pitches are not made for usual camping tents, they are made for cars. There aren't any other facilities like lights, chairs, benches or any kind of cover on the pitches, not even grass on most of them. The only facilities of this camping are the showers and bathrooms. And of course, pray no to rain too hard or for the glaciar across the road to melt completely because the camping...

It's safe to say we won't be returning here ever again.
First of all, the camping is situated near a river and there's a constant FLOOD WARNING regarding the area.
We found out when we got there, being told by the owner. There are also warning sings throughout the camping. I think this is nice, it adds to the excitement.
The story for us is that we flew in so we could only bring the minimum with us, meaning one 2 small camping tents (we were 3 people).
We made the reservations a few months back and the owner asked us the dimensions of the tents which we communicated clearly. We also rented an outlet for 30 euros and one fridge also for 30 euros.
Although the owner knew that we would bring only 2 small tents, he didn't tell us that renting a fridge meant giving us a fridge to actually put in our tents which, given the dimensions would have been impossible. My impression was the we would be given access to a fridge in some kind of kitchen but that doesn't exist in this camping.
So, if you are flying in be prepared to bring a huge 2 room tent in which to install your fridge.
Regarding the 30 euro outlet this was again useless because the tent pitches only have some outlets that need an adapter to use them with which of course we didn't bring and so could not use the outlets at all. Both pitches that we got had no outlets anyway with or without that adapter I was mentioning. Even you have the adapter you'll need an extension cord because the outlets can be meters away.

Read moreWe were fortunate to book the pod online, which offered us a stunning view of the Mont Blanc massif and was ideally located for exploring Chamonix-Mont-Blanc through hikes, gondolas, and the free train (since we stayed in a camping). The pod itself was incredibly cozy and well-equipped, featuring heating, all necessary cutlery, a set of dinnerware, pans, and a kitchenette complete with a stove, microwave, coffee machine, and refrigerator. The spacious terrace, furnished with a table, chairs, and an umbrella, was perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery.
Since it’s a camping experience, if you’re planning to book a pod, be sure to bring essentials like bed sheets, towels, toilet paper, coffee filters, dishwashing liquid, sponge etc.
The campsite itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained, offering all the essential amenities, including reliable hot and cold water. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings made it even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back for another stay!
P.S. If you’d like to see the marmots in their natural habitat, a visit to Parc de Merlet is highly recommended. It’s about a 1.5-hour hike from the campsite or easily...
