The restored farmhouse is located in Les Bossons, 5 km south of Chamonix. The common area is nice with great views over Mont Blanc, but the benefits don’t make up for the drawbacks. The “free cancelation” policy is 30 days ahead(!), so non refundable really. Don’t be fooled by professional photography: all rooms are tiny, with small windows and poor sound isolation, easily penetrated by alarm clocks, talking, coffee machines, the kitchen… We didn’t even get a room but a low ceiling attic instead, too low to sit in bed - an overpriced disappointment after paying almost 200€ per night. Felt bad value to us - make sure you don’t get the attic. No air conditioning is too hot during summer. The place is mostly self-service - quite difficult to get help with anything, but the staff is nice if you’re ever able to find them. The room was never tidied up during our stay. The owners are sometimes visible passing by, but not into hospitality it seems - for 3 days we never exchanged a single word with them, except by email. Read moreIn my 30 years of skiing this is the most disappointing chalet I’ve ever stayed in. Not horrendous but you need to know a few things before booking especially as sole occupiers.||Cons:|- The Chalet is very tired cosmetically and right next to a build site.|- The Chalet is situated well outside of Chamomix. It’s an hours fast walk from town centre or you can ask for an (additionally charged) minibus ride / taxi. If you have a car you’re OK because otherwise you’re left with Public transport….|- The public bus service stops nearby but it is woeful. A journey back from Le Tour (probably the best ski area in Chamonix) will take 1.0 to 1.5 hours and the queues to get on are long.|- There are two sauna’s both of which take a lifetime to heat up which makes them impractical. |- The jacuzzi works well but for 50% of occupants the view is off the build site|- The kitchen is clearly set up as an industrial kitchen and not really for self catering. Don’t self cater would be my suggestion. ||Pros:|- Communication is OK|- Rooms were nice and bedding clean|- Nice big open communal area|- If you ’re a professional chef you won’t find anything missing in...
