We stumbled across this through a Hotel booking site and I am very pleased that we did. We wanted a hotel that we could use as a base for our skiing trip.||From the moment that you walk in to the hotel, the friendliness of the staff is evident. Me and my adult son were shown to our room (Junior Suite.. Two rooms and a Bathroom with a small balcony) and even helped with our bags.||Unfortunately the Restaurant was not open in the evenings for us as it was a little out of season, but the Breakfast was really good.||It was a cold day outside but inside the hotel is warm and welcoming. ||There is an indoor swimming pool which was clean and warm, with a sauna and showers.||There are ski lockers, although we didn't use them this time.||The hotel is clean and well kept and every member of staff is friendly and is a real credit to the hotel. They all clearly enjoy working there.||There are also apartments available at this hotel.||Well done to everybody at Le Griyotire Hotel as you made our stay very welcoming. I hope to come back at some point with my wife.||The shops are all easily accessible on foot, with ski shops and restaurants also close by.||Excellent Thank you to all of the staff at...
Read moreRoom was a good size, nice decor, everything was clean and tidy. We had a deluxe room and we had it for 3 adults (double bed and a double sofa bed). We found it comfortable. The room has a nice balcony. Food - there is free coffee complementary in the room which we had (we had to ask for an extra mug as there was only 2). We did not get breakfast or dinner from the hotel. Other reviews suggest this may be pricey and poor value for money. I cannot comment. Service - all staff are extremely helpful and speak great English. No complaints there. The staff were happy to keep our belongings in a luggage room for the day we checked out. They tidied our rooms each day adequately. The hotel has a bar that is very cosy and is nicely furnished. There is also a swimming pool and sauna which is complementary and is excellent after a long day of skiing. There is a boot and ski room which is heated to dry out your boots. There is adequate parking WiFi was adequate in the room - we were able to stream Netflix with no hiccups. I wasn't able to use the WiFi in...
Read moreWe were a little disappointed as we approached the hotel because we had imagined it away from the centre and the main road more. However we received a very nice welcome by Jenny and given a choice of rooms - opting for a front, corner room with dual aspect on the second floor. Small but well appointed;clean and we grew to like it a lot. Views in both directions and the village church nearby with its bells which charm and annoy at times but all part of the ambience. The pool is very small but welcome after a day out walking to enjoy the sun. There are some lovely, scenic walks in the area and we had no need to resort to the car for a few days. The food in the restaurant offers local and other dishes and is excellent value and choice on demi-pension. A thoroughly enjoyable stay at a reasonable price. All the staff are excellent and friendly but thank you Jessica for being very patient with my non french speaking wife's questions.Recommend...
