Big place right on the Main Street, so a lot of noise from passing trucks etc. Initially we were ignored by staff - the one server we could see was far too deep in conversation with friends to bother serving us, then he disappeared inside. Another waiter eventually appeared, took our order reluctantly, and dumped the coffees so hard on the table that mine spilled 🙄. No apology, naturellement. He only came near us again to thump a big pile of placemats on the table beside us, making it clear we should leave so that he could set up for lunch. Husband went to pay, waiter had zero interest even in that and made him wait until he’d finished putting the placemats out on every table.

The food was good (I particularly recommend café gourmand), the views - wonderful. Lots of smoking at the terrace, so don't sit there with children. Overall for most of our visit I felt like it was going to be a 4-5 stars review. But the experience got completely spoiled at the very end. My partner found a plastic clothing tag in his espresso. We said it to the middle-aged, black-haired man who came to take our payment. He didn't say a word, just shrugged his shoulders. He also had a booger coming out of his nose (!). Ma copine et moi avons fait une pause dans un restaurant des Alpes françaises hier, espérant prendre un café rapide et jeter un œil au menu pour peut-être revenir plus tard. Cependant, cela ne s'est pas passé comme prévu. Nous avons attendu longtemps pour passer commande (peut-être compréhensible en raison de l'affluence), mais dès le début, la prise de commande a été chaotique. Ils ont pris notre commande incorrectement, puis ont dû revenir pour la prendre une deuxième fois, et même ainsi, ils ont omis une partie de ma commande. Le lait dans mon cappuccino était visiblement avarié, donnant un goût repoussant, probablement du lait vieux.

Cependant, la cerise sur le gâteau a été lorsqu'ils nous ont informés qu'ils n'acceptaient que les paiements en espèces. Il n'y avait aucune indication à ce sujet, ce qui est inacceptable en 2023. Ce manque d'informations claires est décevant, et le personnel était également impoli. Dans l'ensemble, une expérience très décevante. Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant, à moins d'être prêt à faire face à un service chaotique, des problèmes de commande et à payer en espèces, sans parler de la qualité douteuse des...
